    1) Sheridan took over direction of the movie late in the process and told execs, “I want Angelina as lead. Without her, I dont do it.”

    2) New Mexico is fucking gorgeous

    3) Acting was solid, but I agree that they needed Angelina to be a little more gritty. Kid did a good job.

    4) Ending was abrupt. I was expecting more Tyler Perry. One scene? Wtf?

    5) Yeah, the lightning strike in the field was bad. The action was fine. The movie seemed disjointed almost, for some reason.

Finally - as with most Sheridan movies, the technical stuff was pretty damn good. It seems he researches his stuff pretty well. Yeah, there were a few wtf or lol moments, but overall I enjoy his tone/style.

That being said, the movie was ok and much better than the Without Remorse.

Id like to see another project that is all Sheridan, start to finish a la Wind River. But I can also vibe with the people that think hes losing his luster

Pretty much my thouhts. It was okay. Filled an hour and a half on a Saturday after doing yard work all day, with a good beer buzz. I won't be watching it again.

Also, good to see Carcetti Littlefinger finding some work.

Turned this week's off after the intro.  I'm dimly aware that went on but I'm not interested in glass, barbed wire, and all that shit.

You should turn it back on. I hate all that gore shit too, but it was a really good story.

Yup, saw that this morning.  I've never seen him live, I'm looking forward to it.

Favorite team since I was a little kid, is Ferrari.

My favorite drivers are Fernando Alonso and Daniel Ricciardo.

And as a Michael Schumacher fan, I'm watching Mick with interest, although he's on a terrible, terrible team.

I just started season 2, which is 2019, and he retired. Guess he's back?

From what I've seen, I like Ricciardo.

I forget who was the first to recommend the F1 show, but thank you. Not an F1 fan, but I'm loving this and agree more sports should open up to Netflix like this.

Totally agree. I've never cared anything about F1, but I started this on the recommendation of Surly. Fantastic.

^^^^^^^^^^Patsy had two sons, the youngest also named Jason. "The two Jasons" were sorta friends with AJ, and were cutting their teeth on organized crime on the Rutgers student body via bookmaking, drug dealing, and aggravated assault.

Burned some kids toes off with battery acid. Yikes.

Not on Netflix, but finished a documentary called Sasquatch on Hulu last night. Really liked it. 3 episode murder doc about 3 guys killed on a marijuana farm in the early 90's with a backdrop of being in "bigfoot country". I thought the guy who made it did a great job of basically retelling a crazy memory from when he was younger and deciding to look into it more and find out what really happened. Also, the dude named "Razor" was awesome. I wanna grab a drink with him.

    Yeah, he's pretty cool guy.

I nominate Michael B. Jordan. The guy is becoming a pretty big movie star and he just can’t act. He was ok as a kid in The Wire, but in any other role I’ve seen him attempt...he always just seems to be himself. Nothing more.

    F*cking this ^.

Carlo and Patsy had sons who were on the path to being associates, if not already considered as such via their sports betting kick ups

Yep. Thought of those two, also.

Yeah, I'm trying to think of a made guy on the show that had a strong son.  I can't think of any except the flashbacks to Tony's own father molding him.  Jackie, Jr. had a glimmer of potential but he fucked it up.  Obviously, most of the children on the show were shaped by their time at the Milford Academy where children are neither seen nor heard.  But most of them, grown or still little, on the boys side---tended to be weak and whiny.  Never really thought of that, interesting take.

I'd say Junior had as much hand in raising Tony as Johnny Boy. They were very close.

When she and Tony get into that huge fight that ends in their separation at the end of Season 5 (I think), it is some of the best acting I've ever seen.  She is fabulous.

    White Caps. Season 4 Finale.

Love how she had to casually mention her and Tony's past to Carmella.

She was sick of Carmela's snooty ass attitude. Stick that dagger where it hurt.

Was having this discussion with a group the other night. We were talking about truly big time, bankable actors (even some Oscar nominees/winners) that are really just not very good at acting.  Of course, acting can be quite subjective.

    My contributions:

Mark Wahlberg- He is basically rangeless.  In The Fighter, it is almost comical how much better of an actor Christian Bale and Amy Adams are compared to him. Also, he received a lot of critical Acclaim for his role in The Departed.  I watched it agin recently, admittedly I was high so the good was really good and the bad was really bad, but his scenes were almost comically bad. His range is so small it is amazing he is as successful as he is.  And seems like a genuinely good guy.

Scarlett Johansson- She is certainly a bona fide movie star and incredibly attractive.  But, like above, her range is very limited.  I do think she is getting better.

Wahlberg was my first thought when I saw the thread title. But damn if I don't enjoy his movies.

I have no idea why anyone finds "bitter" to be appealing.

Anyone ever deal with "is your sister single" guy?  No you fuck, and even if she were, she wouldn't give you a second thought.

Damn man. Maybe he'd just like to take her out to a nice seafood dinner.

It means, her ass...for a skinny girl...was ample, supple, toned but robust, with great thigh-gap to introduce it to the world as if to say, "Hello, pleased to meet you."

I gave it four stars.  I have no idea if she can act or not, and don't really care.

The 'bounce a quarter' clip reminds me of something my cousin would say, "She had the kind of ass...you bounce a quarter off it, you get back six nickels."

Is there photo evidence of this ass of hers?
