Agree w above I think Beth for once is going to end up as not the wittiest/smartest person in the business room.  Old lady went toe to toe, she isn't scared.

I would've liked to have seen the scene of a younger Beth dry humping the attorney's girlfriend.

  2. I thought the episode was pretty bad. WU was good. Three Sad Virgins was good. I don't get the love for the new girl. Sorry.

I'm neither a Taylor Swift fan or hater, but I thought that was a damn fine performance.

Just wrapped up my first time through this series. Loved the way it ended so we’re all still talking about it.

My wife started with me but dropped out about halfway through season 2 because she couldn’t stand the audible mouth breathing and smacking when Tony ate.

My only beef with the series is it appears they would frequently start a subplot but fail to tie up the story and let it fade away. I would’ve preferred some closure on Melfi rape, Meadow’s suicidal college roommate, the Russian hit man, Artie Bucco getting swindled by the liquor/wine importer. What happened to Eugene’s family after he killed himself? What happened to Vito’s fucked up kid?

Melfi's rape - she handled on her own, despite the desire to have Tony handle it.

Meadow's roommate ended up okay. She was later shown at a party on ecstasy, when Meadow bought it off Jackie Jr. Leading to their relationship.

Russian - I liked how they handled it. Leaving it ambiguous. Although, Terry Winter discussed an idea they had to bring him back later, and have him be nearly braindead and sweeping the floors at Slava's restaurant.

The French con man was dealt with by Tony and Furio. Tony assumed the debt, and Furio collected.

Eugene's family? Who cares? They were only shown once.

Vito's fucked up kid got shipped off to a boot camp in, like, Idaho.

I think they wrapped up most pretty well. It wasn't the type of show to put a nice bow on everything. Leaving some on the viewer to think and draw their own conclusions. It's not Blue Bloods.

All y’all saying that he would rough them up and make them watch this show, or that your wives and all these other women go make love to their shower heads after watching?

    The latter.

We need a show, and trying to convince the wife this is the one.  What's my angle to convince her?  I know nothing about it other than it is well received.

Judging by my wife, her friends, and Facebook...Rip should convince her.

I used to know a girl who dated Chris Klein (Oz from American Pie) in like 1998. She thought he was going to be the next big thing in Hollywood. Looking at his IMDB he's done a bunch of stuff since but nothing I've seen.

Last quality thing I remember him being in was We Were Soldiers.

Oh, and that real shitty American Reunion.

Yeah, season overall hasn’t been very good since the plane ride episode, but losing your thumb to garden shears certainly can’t be fun.

Too damn many episodes about extreme wrestling and death match stuff.

I thought the Luna Vachon episode was pretty good, though.

The Sudeikis version is not much like him at all, but funny in the stereotype.

Kind of like Will Ferrell's George W impression. Sounded nothing like him, but played off the stereotype and was hilarious.

As always, I enjoyed the podcast. I thought he was too gushing about Gandolfino's performance. I agree with others, he just lacked the hutzpah of Tony. But I aligned with most of the sentiment here: "no one cared or cares about Dickie Moltisanti."

My biggest gripe is that it had no major plot line. It was just a bunch of scenarios with not much of a common thread.

The MBA and the Button Man Podcast has abruptly ended. No explanation was given.

They pulled down all of their podcasts from the streaming sites and videos from YouTube.

    Well that's suspect.

I'd love to see Tony, Ralphie and Jackie Aprile robbing Feech's card game.

Tony's first hit -- Willie Overall.

    Tony being made.

    The unrest of '83.

Paulie surviving the Columbo wars by the skin of his balls.

Ralphie didn’t rob the card game. He caught the clap from some hippie broad he was banging.

They should make another.  Have Livia, Johnny Boy, Tony and Tony's crew as he becomes an associate and then made.  A lot of good stories they can address.  And add some new ones.

Not for nuthin, but Farmiga has already said she'd be in if they wanted to make a series. As has Michael Gandolfini.

I hope they do, but my fear is David Chase is pissed at HBO for the streaming premiere. He sees that they left a pile of money on the table by not premiering it in theatres first. And we know how petty he can be. However, he did say that HBO owns it, and if they want to continue they could with another writer. Hopefully Terry Winter.
