I think they're just going for more permanent concession options. I'm assuming that "bar" is on the lower level concourse near the 50s. I'm going to assume they're will be concessions added in the new open terrace areas. Anyone that's tried to get even a bottle of water on the upper level knows it can be a 20 minute ordeal. We'll grab about 4 waters before the game kicks off just to not have to bother with getting some later.

I hear ya on the struggles, a small army of roving vendors would help a lot.

I feel like there’s a hell of an opportunity for concession innovation with events like this that are one off type - bigass banks of vending machines for non booze items. Or some kind of Amazon locker setup text your order/pay and get notified when it’s ready.

  2. I don’t hate the aestheti. It’s the concourse bar island pic that looks like American Airlines center and makes me think they’re missing the mark on it all. All for the More/better bathrooms, better concourse flow, and better entrance gates… but the vibe in those pics looks like an attempt to church it up.

It always amazes me how some of these bridges got built, especially the older ones like the Brooklyn Bridge, GGB etc... I ended up down a little bit of  an internet rabbit hole reading up on bridge building and the introduction of caissons, which resulted in the accompanying Caisson Disease (decompression sickness). Just figuring shit out as they went.

The great bridge by David McCullough is very damn good, goes for just about all his works I’ve read RIP. Such a delightful man

Have nowhere else to put this. I was Opening Day in Arlington tonight. Left a little early and got in the car just as they had the 7th inning stretch on the radio. It was the worst rendition of “Proud to be American” I’ve ever heard. Wow. The fact that they play that song there is grotesque too. Try and find a recording of it because it was just terrible.

Also, Hot Wheels was there. I booed him.

Worse than if she performed it?

The same with chicken wings.  I'm not going to turn them down if offered, but I'll put my money elsewhere if I am buying.

I’ve pretty much turned my wing consumption  to homemade variety… plain wings from grocery store at $3-4/lb, air fryer, baking powder (not soda) to help crisp, then the key is buying a jar of sauce from pluckers for $5.

  6. And on the Covid thing, had trump just not trumped SO HARD on covid response, he would have ejaculate danced to YMCA to a second term. Any and everything coulda just been pinned on covid in 2020 and a very simple/modest head nod to “we’re working together bc we’re all in this together”…. Instead he lost to an old eff basement dweller. Dude was essentially gifted a war in an election year and said hold my beer.
