  1. I must have missed the insider info on UT side for being so optimistic about Kelvin Banks. Looking at his 247 page and his recruiting history, looks like he was committed to oSu back when Josh Henson was still the OL coach there? And Henson is still recruiting him, but now to A&M. Either he likes small college town feel or he likes Henson as a coach or both. Perhaps he has changed his mind and is beginning to like big city/bright lights vibe of Austin more? Aggie side seems to have liked their chances of landing Banks, but that was months ago, so maybe the ground has indeed shifted in this recruitment.
  2. on to page 408. gotta go thru several more rounds of panic followed by exuberance if it's gonna hit the 1000...
  3. enhancing or showcasing sexiness isn't the same as being sexually oriented business, though, right? women often use their sexual appeal to get ahead in the business world too, even in today's hyper senstive work environment.
  4. Lana Rhodes can do it AFTER doing milking titties porn and pregnancy porn and everything else for a couple years or more. That's analogous (or ANALogous) to top stars showing out and then cashing in. A blue-collar "team player" wouldn't have the cachet, but perhaps I'm indeed underestimating targeting social media/marketing. I have seen youtube travel vloggers-- no name folks-- doing quite well to the point of being able to just travel and have a lifestyle while raking in the money.
  5. Sounds like Evan Stewart is spending multiple days in College Station this week; was there yesterday and is there today too and maybe tomorrow?
  6. There's going to be a segmentation in player NIL market, and I imagine only a few will command high values. There can be all the gimmicks in order to pay all the football roster, and don't forget baseball and basketball too. But "real" money will likely be made by the bluechip players.. and is there any doubt that those players will get paid regardless of where they go among the top programs?
  7. supposably, natty's is bad ingerish now. hear... have 3 natty's in a row...
  8. It could be worse; such as when John Kerry ordered his with Swiss cheese... and made national headlines in a bad way. " Then-Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry was stumping in Pennsylvania in August 2004 when he stopped by Pat's King of Steaks in Philadelphia to enjoy one of the city's iconic cheesesteaks. But Kerry quickly stepped in it when he asked for his sandwich with Swiss cheese instead of cheese-whiz. "Gasp!" wrote Philadelphia Inquirer restaurant critic Craig LaBan. " Swiss cheese, as any local knows, is not an option. The Massachusetts Democrat may as well have asked for cave-aged Appenzeller. But even when Kerry was given a proper cheesesteak hoagie, he made matters worse by delicately nibbling at it as if it were tea toast. Not a cool move for the Boston Brahmin trying to prove he can hang with youse guys down at Ninth and Wharton." The incident went viral, and it was generally regarded as a missed opportunity for Kerry, one of the Senate's wealthiest members, to connect with ordinary voters. " Even the bluest blood can suddenly become more human to the masses if he emerges from this two-fisted trial of appetite with a swagger and some juice on his loafers," explained LaBan. "If not, well..." Compounding Kerry's faux pas, a stream of customers seized the opportunity to crack Swiss cheese jokes to the unfortunate staff at Pat's for several days after the incident. "This isn't funny anymore," one employee warned, according to the Inquirer. "Somebody's gonna get hit."
  9. whiz wit... if you're into cheez puns and you're on a roll, you'd probably be talking philly cheesesteak puns? hmm
  10. Looks like Moss is visiting TCU this weekend and A&M the following weekend. https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/high_schools/article_061aace2-ca48-11eb-840a-93f1bd3b7b69.html
  11. just giving the benefit of the doubt to FSU. I was being nice, but I also have got nothing against them/their fanbase, etc. I made that point in the context of their current, post-Fisher slump. If Fisher = Mack Brown (according to some on this board), then the corollary of FSU = Texas... and if the same trajectory, then they'll probably not be seeing Fisher-era heights reclaimed for several more years. Taggard was their Charlie Strong, I guess.
  12. I would think their, let's say-- transition?-- away from Fisher hasn't gone well at all. But they're a big program and will right the ship eventually. Sometimes, coaches also just want a change in "scenery" to get their juices flowing again. For example, folks here were routinely mocking about Fisher's OL problems (human cubes, etc.), and look now.
  13. Fisher was being "pushed out" by FSU?! lol That's a first for me. FSU fans hated that he left them, and they hated their leadership from not giving him the support he was seeking. Seems to me Fisher was the one who had the options, and took a better one.
  14. A&M has been building a relationship with Enai White for a while now. This is because A&M ended up landing Tyreek Chappell and Elijah Jeudy from Philly Northeast High and those two are friends with Enai, espeically Jeudy is. Now it's not a clear sailing in part because A&M almost took a DL from Imhotep in the last class, Taleeq Robbins. But backed off, perhaps because they felt they could land higher ranked talent later, which they did. SO, Robbins signed with Ole Miss, and therefore Ole Miss also has some traction on Enai White recruiting. Guys from Philly going to college down south... you can say bags were exchanged. But there is something to be said about cultivating relationships. And A&M has an established and dang good DL recruiter from that area, as you well know now.
