The series was a hell of a lot more fun during the decade before that IMO.

This is one of those moments where I just had some cognitive dissonance about how old I am. I was totally thinking back to the Vince Young years when I made that comment.

Not every B12 school is that way. I always enjoyed the Ok State game, and even WVU was a fun one that I wouldn't mind seeing again. But I will immediately be pissed to see Houston, Baylor, TCU, or K State on our schedule ever again. There is just zero upside to a game with those teams. To a lesser degree Tech, but they have shown their ass so much over the last 3 years I would hope it doesn't happen for at least 20 years.

Just as a Big XII fan who watches other Big XII games, the Texas vs Okie State series was damn fun for much of the last 15 years.

I just threw this together in 5 minutes off the top of my head.

Seems pretty balanced, and any rivalry not in division play (like Red River) can be harmlessly scheduled in the non-conference, because playoff access would come down to winning the division

Is that Tennessee in with the Texas schools?

This is a true story. I had a friend (female) who had a roommate.  The roommate was kind of awkward, had had bad luck with boys and my friend thought it would be a good idea to set us up on a blind date.  I agreed.  I went to pick her up.  We went to Shady Grove.  I ordered a drink and she hesitated and acted weird about getting an alcoholic drink.  I think she thought I was going to try to get her drunk and date rape her or something.  I eventually told her we could share my drink and she agreed.  The next stop was the Flamingo Cantina where the Killer Bees were playing.  On the drive there I broke out a spliff and asked her if she was okay with it and if she wanted to smoke it with me.  She agreed and we smoked it together on the way there.  We parked, went in the club, got a couple of beers and went up on the second floor to find a good vantage point before the show started.  About ten minutes later, after not really finding a suitable spot, I asked her if she wanted to go back downstairs to get closer to the stage.  She said, "I can't."  I said, "What do you mean you can't?"  She said, "I can't see."  I said, "What do you mean I can't see?"  She said, "I'm blind. I can't see anything."  I wasn't sure if she really couldn't see or why, but what I did know is that we needed to get the fuck out of there and I needed to take her home as soon as possible.  So I told her that I was going to sit her down in a chair and go pull my truck up to the door and come get her and take her home.  As I was trying to carry/lift her up to put her in the chair, this dude standing nearby smiled broadly and said, "Ha! She's pretty fucked up, huh?"  I replied, "Yeah, man.  More than you know."  I went and got the truck and came back and carefully walked her down the stairs, loaded her in the passenger seat and took her home.  I told my friend not to do me any more favors.

tl/dr: My blind date actually went blind during our date.

Uh what the fuck, any follow up? What happened? Medically I mean.

And they have a shit load of fans to drive up ratings.

Plus, they're just a blast to hate on.  If Aggy wanted to rejoin the Big 12 I'd love it.  They'd be convinced they'd go undefeated every year and then punk UT in the playoffs, and they'd end up going 8-4 every fucking year just like they do now because it's what they do.

Interesting to me that you listed Montana. I haven't looked at the numbers, but I've been wondering if there could eventually be enough Californians moving to Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho to make them competitive one day. Basically the same thing that happened to Colorado. Not a ton of EVs there, but it would be nice if they weren't Senate locks for the GOP (yes, I know Jon Tester exists).

I live in Montana. Most of the Californians that move here are conservative Republicans, not the typical stereotype of California. Native-born Montanans are very much independent to Libertarian in their views, to a large degree, but the people moving here are more conservative than liberal.

I like how nobody says anything about the clips all over the internet of Biden speaking clearly on important issues, but a few where his age/fatigue/stutter feature prominently "ehrmagerd I can't believe we have to vote for an senile guy." Listen to him more often, he knows his shit, and conveys it fine the vast majority of the time. He also has appointed smart competent people to do the hard work as any good leader would do, especially one that is older. If this was an open primary I'd probably lean towards a younger person, but the guy is the incumbent, he's done a good job by pretty much every metric, and he speaks clearly enough most of the time that I'm convinced he's fine mentally. But if there's any doubt whatsoever, he's not trump, who has was already a complete moron, he's now showing legit signs of dementia and total disconnect from reality. It's a pretty fucking easy choice.

I'm legit surprised that Wisconsin outdraws Aggy.  Not that Sconnies aren't passionate about their Badgers, but just given the relative populations of Texas and Wisconsin.

That said, TJ Altimore was probably more wrong than anyone on all this realignment shit the last go round.

Way more competition for football viewership in Texas vs Wisconsin.
