Yeah! High pants wearin, fast talking movies! Love dem movies, just vaudeville with a little extra mustard! Well portrayed in satire on SNL by Phil Hartman yelling at Jon Lovitz (or was it vice versa?) to tell him what the word was on the street, y’know, the scoop, the skinny, the dish!

The word “swell” was a big word back in those days.

My right knee has been killing me. I've become the 4th Rice Crispy when I stand up... Snap, Crackle, Pop and OW!

    Shit mine too.

    Right under the kneecap.

If my leg is bent it pops and hurts like hell when I straighten it out.

Getting old is still better than not getting old…… I think.

    Awesome

That clam chowder is off the charts.

Did you see the painting by the bar of all of the celebrities that have been there ?
The Kennedy’s had their on private room upstairs somewhere.

Such a great city to visit. All of the locals we encountered were extremely nice too.

    I will go again.

It was one of his books published under his Richard Bachman pseudonym.  According to King, it was actually the first novel he ever wrote.

The first King/Bachman book I ever read was Thinner and I was hooked.

    Love his stuff.

Going way back, these guys are always gold. If you see their name in the cast, you know it's going to be watchable.

    Frank McHugh

    Frank McHugh - Cladrite Radio

    Alan Hale

    Alan Hale - IMDb

    Walter Brennan

    Walter Brennan - Wikipedia

Love them all and the movies from that era are my absolute favorite.

Had no idea David Ash was such a funny guy:

    Great.

This is only the second time I have watched these guys and both shows were outstanding.
I like the way they just let the guest talk and don’t talk over each other. Not easy to do with that many guys.

the trailer is fucking crazy, Mark Hamill as a bad guy is haunting

    Holy shit.

Been a long time since I read that one.

I think that was in one of his books of short stories.

    Film looks good.

Gonna head into Boston Common and park early in the morning (in a garage) and then ride the green line and bus all day.  Lunch at Union Oyster, Freedom Trail, then hopefully watch the Reds stomp the Red Sox!

Again the clam chowder at Union Oyster is incredible.
