Did they charge a mandatory 18% tip? seems those would be the additional optional tip amounts.
No service fee or mandatory tip on the receipt. As I think about it I think they are just missing the trailing 0 in the % field. IE, they probably meant to say 20, 25, and 27%. At least, that's what I'm sticking with.

Anyone been this summer?
Heading over in a few weeks. Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Tokyo.
First time going, I know there are so many amazing small places and now figuring out where to make reservations. -
Cross posting, also put this in the things that make you surly. I don’t know how the bartenders and staff aren’t revolting over this. Big time wtf.

I didn’t even notice this until after we left the restaurant.
Look at these suggested fucking tip amounts. -

You most likely know it as Myanmar...but it will always be Burma to me.

It's Hollywood...so yes, a lot of bullshit to wade through.
Braveheart? Not a super accurate portrayal of William Wallace.
Argo? Not accurate.
Captain Phillips? Not super accurate.
Pearl Harbor? Lulz.
Rudy? Lulz.
A Beautiful Mind. Meh.
The list goes on and on.

How has J.T. Walsh (RIP) not been mentioned yet?

Man oh man... embrace those experiences! Each and every trip. Each and every moment. That is an incredibly special gift you two are sharing.
Years from now, when your grandkids look up at you and ask, "what was great grandpa like?" the richness of life stories you will be able to tell will be special.
Undoubtedly, your grandkids will at first be like, "Whatever...." But even though their ears may not be listening, their hearts will be. And their souls.
Pass it forward.
And as for being at the airport 4 hours ahead of time... that is what TSA Pre and Clear is for. That is what the Admiral's Club is for. And the Centurion Club.
Enjoy!
Damn right!!
I made him get Global entry last year, he tried having a conversation with the customs agent about his travel before the interview when we landed and the guy wasn’t having any of it. He finally admits these “government” folks aren’t very social.
We drive separate to our home airport, though I can usually wake up around 5am for a 7am flight and open Find My and already see him sitting in the terminal, knowing he’s happy as a clam. It makes me smile.
Last year we did the Monaco GP and watched on a yacht, and I’ll just say Dad and I are very different personality’s but I had some ladies on the boat indulge him for some attention and a picture. He had the absolute time of his life. My mom isn’t so crazy about it but I’m thrilled I’ll have these pictures forever. He wore that lipstick like a king for the rest of the day.

Reading this thread brings a big smile to my face.
My dad is in his early 70s, spent the first 45 years pretty damn poor but has now done very well for himself. He recently was part-owner of a nice sized business and couldn’t stand paying a yard crew to mow the office grounds so he did it himself on weekends or weeknights. Employees would show up and ask why the guy mowing the yard seemed familiar and their supervisor would say yeah, that’s one of the owners.
Lately, he’s gotten an itch to travel the world and my mom doesn’t like to, so as his only son I often go with him. His favorite thing to do when boarding planes is telling the flight attendants where he’s going. He also likes to get to the airport 4 hours early.- 12

I liked it...as others have said Tom Cruise knows how to deliver on these action movies. I don't think it's the best of the series but certainly towards the top.

I love this track and GP.

Who is the tall chick with her tits out that wouldn’t talk to Brundle?
-
I’ve seen that happen in Vegas, they obviously have a lot of flights that leave both before and after 12am.
I don’t understand the “$450 penalty plus full rate.” Why didn’t you just buy three new tickets at that point? Was the $450 to get you credit back for the remaining initial ticket price? -
I don’t understand what he is doing/not doing (other than not driving fast enough).
That’s just terrible.

When I moved from the midwest to Seattle in the summer of '99, I figured I could just drive until I got exhausted and then grab a motel room for the night.
What I didn't count on was A) I-90 is empty as shit across South Dakota/Wyoming/Eastern Montana and B) that I had decided to make this drive during the Sturgis Rally. So, first night of travel, somewhere in BFSD I discovered (at 11:30 PM) that there weren't many hotels/motels and the ones that did exist were booked solid for hundreds of miles. I kept driving.
About 2 AM (4 AM, since my brain was on Eastern Time), I decided to try one more place. Pulled up, walked in, and the "proprietor" said- "He just got the last room" as he was pointing to a dude just completing the paperwork.
Dude looks up at me and says- "You look like hell... I'll split the room with you". Looked at the innkeeper, who shrugged and said "two queen beds". So, in a combination of youthful arrogance and exhaustion enhanced stupidity, I agreed.
Was an uneventful experience (dude ended up being an ordained minister who worked for a national non-profit... we actually knew some of the same people), but certainly falls in the category of "What in the hell was I thinking?"
Slept in the backseat of my car (was pulling it behind the moving truck) the next night somewhere in the mountains between Missoula and Spokane.
