  1. Talk of a Heisman is over doing it, but I expect Reed to have a really nice season. Next year with Georgia Tech.
  2. A "shit takes" thread would be pretty entertaining after the season. Every year there are one or two guys that get shit on before the season and then play really well - Christian Jones and Vernon Broughton come to mind.
  3. The "Hudson Card Kai Money Troy Omeire Pre-Season reverse-Gaskamp Award"? I like it.
  4. Not all QBs starting for the first time are equal. Mike Leach and Bob Stoops rolled out new starters without skipping a beat year after year for what seemed like forever. USC had good streak in the 2000s. It's not all that unusual for 3rd or 4th year guys to play well when they finally get to start. Arch is in year 3 of the same system with a lot of talent around him. I suspect he'll have a lot more highs than lows. The OL is a bigger question mark. Fortunately, this isn't like Strong or Herman teams where young guys were playing before they were ready. Or flat out weren't very good. Even if they knew their assignment, it wasn't a given they could execute it. That's not an issue this year. They are all physically ready. It's just a matter of whether they can play well as a group.
  5. The Georgia Film Guy on youtube has a break down of Marcel Reed. He starts off saying he respects what Klein does as an OC. Then proceeds to show a bunch of clips of poorly designed plays that are doomed if the primary target is covered. He couldn't tell if Reed can work through progressions because he's never been asked to. As far as I can tell, Klein's offensive philosophy is something along the lines of, "10% of the time it works every time."
  6. Weren't Notre Dame and OSU playing multiple backup OL in the championship game? And I think ND lost a couple of d-linemen during the playoffs. Going forward, winning a championship may come down to who has the least amount of drop-off from their starters to their backups.
  7. If someone showed me that clip without names or numbers, I wouldn't have guessed Sharma was the freshman.
  8. I hope he has a full recovery. Also, when did he become an aggy yell leader?
  9. Worrying about DT going into the season and then having a couple guys turn into monsters is now a tradition. Ojomo was undersized and Coburn had some... conditioning concerns. Then they went off. Murphy was expected to be a stud, but Sweat tried to eat himself to death. They were the two best DTs in football. Collins was a good third guy who hadn't played up to his potential and Broughton was a decent rotation guy. Then they made a jump. I don't know who, but 2-4 guys will start playing out of their minds.
  10. Obviously, the credit goes to Seven Win Steve and Crissy Del Conte
  11. There's some fierce competition for that title.
  12. Don't be dumb. The $40 million is just for the guys that had their heart set on aggy, but Sark overpaid for even though Elko wasn't really that interested in them.
  13. Drew Allar is #2... but not the way they meant it.
  14. Akina... cuz zone coverage is for pussies
