  1. LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- In anticipation of live music returning to Fremont Street Experience on June 1, officials have released the performance schedule. According to officials, for the first time in over a year, guests will be able to experience free nightly music under the upgraded Viva Vision screen. All three stages at Fremont Street Experience "will be rocking again" starting at 12:01 a.m. on June 1. The performances will go on until 4 a.m., according to a release. As a community and one of the largest tourist destinations in the nation, we are beyond thrilled to be part of the highly anticipated re-opening of Las Vegas,” said Andrew Simon, President and Chief Executive Officer for Fremont Street Experience. “To support our local artists, revive our community and revel in the beauty of live events again, we chose to open our stages the moment we were given the green light, and we can’t wait to see you there.” After the June 1 opening, free nightly entertainment will continue throughout the year at Fremont Street Experience. For more information on its nightly entertainment lineup, visit www.vegasexperience.com/calendar.

  3. Virgin: Paradise-seeking party people might not actually be able to go to Mykonos this year because of linger travel restrictions — but they’ll be able to enjoy a slice of the Greek island in Las Vegas. With nightlife making its return in the US, we’re told nightlife gurus Mio Danilovic, Jason “JROC” Craig and Michael Fuller, are getting set to open the highly anticipated Élia Beach Club at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The new daylife venue will officially open its doors as part of the hotel’s grand opening celebration weekend on June 10, we hear. Élia Beach Club is named for Mykonos’ largest beach, known for its clear, blue surf and scenic sandy landscape. “Élia Beach Club emanates those sensations through its ambiance,” we’re told. Backers say guests will be “[transported] to an international paradise with sounds by some of the best DJs in the world.” It’ll begin with DJ residencies this summer including Deadmau5, Lane 8, Soffi Tukker, Ben Böhmer, Laidback Luke, Chris Mallinchak, Sultan & Ned and more. Soffi Tukker & Sam Blacky, Lane 8, Loco Dice and DeadMau5 will play the opening weekend, we’re told. This isn’t the first time Danilovic has flirted with tropical transportation. The Miami nightlife honcho, one the team behind South Beach’s Rockwell, recently opened Joia Beach in Miami, which is supposed to evoke a jungle-like feel. https://pagesix.com/2021/05/31/miami-nightlife-gurus-to-open-mykonos-themed-club-in-vegas/
  4. It’s the same deal at many restaurants all over the country right now, they can’t hire enough employees. So all the tables aren’t even being used. We know the demand is back, but hopefully this employee issue fades soon.
  5. I thought so too but the replay showed it hit the tree and kicked back out
  6. The Las Vegas brunch scene gets an LA favorite version this weekend when Catch at Aria starts serving. The Instagram-worthy seafood restaurant brings its LA brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant rolls out breakfast fare including cinnamon roll pancakes with brown sugar cinnamon swirl, candied almonds, and cream cheese frosting and a waffle tower created with maple, milk chocolate, and raspberry ice cream, chocolate ganache, raspberry jam, and toasted almonds. On the savory side of breakfast comes steak and eggs and an egg white omelet with turkey bacon, artichoke, arugula, caramelized onions, and goat cheese. The restaurant even offers a tuna poke bowl and a coconut kale chicken salad, as well as some Catch classic dishes such as A5 Japanese Miyazaki wagyu, prepared table side on a hot stone; mushroom spaghetti with wild mushroom, snow peas, tomato, and Parmesan cheese; and crunchy rice cakes with tuna tartare, wasabi, and tobiko. Seafood options include truffle sashimi with tuna, hamachi, chili ponzu, caviar, and black truffle purée; a tartare trio with salmon, hamachi, tobiko, and wasabi crème fraiche; the Catch Roll with crab, salmon and miso honey; the Hellfire Roll with spicy tuna two ways, pear, and balsamic; and the MRC Roll with seared tuna, shrimp, avocado, ponzu, and brown butter. Bloody Marys, mimosas, Bellinis, and more make an appearance as well. For reservations, call 877-230-2742. https://vegas.eater.com/2021/5/28/22457519/catch-brunch-saturday-and-sunday
