you're thinking of the great muppet caper. understandable, as that movie is also strong.

but the muppets take manhattan is a musical and it is fucking awesome. the songs have good hooks.

Ah yes. This is embarrassing. Christ, they went to England, not New York.

You’re thinking about this all wrong. We just need to get Helo to identify the worst offensive line in America and recruit three of those guys. Boom - cheap All Americans.

"Coach Sarkisian, we have an idea. Now, you're going to think this sounds insane, but you're just gonna have to trust us...."

  3. "We're the party with the right solutions", huh. That's funny, considering y'all ran on all that shit a year ago, you control every branch of government, and haven't done shit to fix any of it.

  4. if a blind person had the broadcast on they wouldn’t have even known that Texas was in the building. the entire broadcast was dedicated to all things duke.

A casual Texas fan tuning into the first game of the year would have been truly lost with all the new faces. In theory the broadcast should help with that, although in this case they didn’t really seem to think that was necessary.

I'm sure Christians wouldn't mind at all being painted with that broad of a brush.

"Hey you're a Christian, just like Donald Trump claims to be. So I can only assume that you are also a lifelong conman and 34 time convicted felon and child rapist and regular rapist?"

  6. Trump sycophants: “President Dotard is focused on nothing else but how to pay out SNAP benefits to those in need.”

Dotard this morning: “We’re not paying jack shit to those freeloaders!”

Karoline Leavitt a few minutes ago: “Of course we’re going to abide by the court order to pay out SNAP benefits.”

Not that I have any sympathy for anyone who chooses to work in this White House, but it’s pretty funny to watch them constantly trying to cover for him just saying whatever the hell he wants.

Every day I have to convince myself that it is worth living in this world. It is exhausting and I’m lacking understanding of how it ended up like this.

Living amongst people who 1) voted for this and 2) are genuinely happy with the results thus far have me questioning reality on a daily basis.

This time next year, we’ll be longing for the good old days of the first ten months of his second term. Because it only gets worse.

I forgot a lot. Notably, the president is threatening to take away citizenship from people he doesn't like, is open trying to put his enemies in jail for only being his enemies, and also the president is talking openly about using US cities as training grounds for our military. And is seemingly trying to start a civil war. And that's the shit that just slipped my mind while writing that post. 10 months.

  9. Simon and the Florida kid coming in should be a really good 1-2 punch next year. RB can contribute early. Then you have Baxter who isn’t an elite talent anymore but provides steady experience. I’d rather spend whatever NIL y’all are allocating to RB on OL. We need to completely start over on the interior and I don’t think some competition for Baker would be a bad idea either.
Of course we probably won’t actually do that, because we’re idiots.

Hard pass on counting on Simon and a true freshman like that. And this version of Baxter is giving us exactly nothing. Getting a starter level RB should be nonnegotiable.

Mike Johnson’s superpower is being without shame. He will simply answer “I don’t know anything about that” until reporters stop asking him about it.

When Trump demanded a quarter of a billion dollars of taxpayer money be given to him, same deal. Johnson just kept saying “I haven’t read up on that yet” until they stopped asking him.

  11. I watched the movie Presence the other night.

    Spoiler

The ghost in this movie is the ghost of one of the main (living) characters. Ghosts are "unbound from time" or some such. It had never occurred to me that the ghosts in a location could be the ghosts of the current inhabitants, or even the next people to move in, or 100 years from now, etc. Or even the same person. Are we being haunted by our future ghost selves?
