I’ve made those enchiladas dozens of times and they are fantastic. Extremely rich. DO NOT USE FLOUR TORTILLAS as pictured.

Agreed, I almost didn't post that picture since they did...

I’ve been listening to the Casefile podcast series on this this week.  One common thing that the rape victims reported was that he had a very small dick.  I wonder if jr. high, sr. high, and navy “locker room” derision, and the derision he got from the females who willingly saw it, helped turn him into a monster.

He also had issues with his mother and his exwife or fiance. Dude was totally fucked up. It was pretty awesome seeing how defeated he looked during his arraignment.

    Agreed.

But here's where it gets risky.  I'm a smart serial killer.  I have no record, my DNA isn't on file anywhere.  Even if I accidentally leave some at a scene, there's no sample out there to match it against (and I'm otherwise squeaky clean and not a suspect, so no need to take a sample from me).

But my stupid sister in Boise is obsessed with tracing her genetic line back to Cleopatra or some shit, so she uploads HER DNA profile to one of these sites.....and they run the one drop of blood I left at the scene that one time....against the profiles on that website....and it turns out that I show up as a "relative" of my stupid sister.  They ID her, and they start looking at family.  It's only so long before they get to me, and realize that I lived in Sacramento when all the murders took place.

Not that I (brisketexan) have a problem with this shaking out that way.  It's just that with genetic markers, you don't have to be stupid -- someone related to you (and not a psycho killer) can innocently provide a sample that can lead to your downfall.  Tough shit, psycho killer dude.

Yea it looks like this is exactly what happened. They provided his DNA from the original crimes, it matched closely with someone who had uploaded their information. Then they looked up who were closely related and tried to find someone who lived in the right place at the right time.

They had narrowed it down then grabbed DNA off a discarded coffee cup or something at Hobby Lobby. Compared it to their original DNA samples, boom exact match.

Probably missed it, but what is the best way to substitute for missing electrolytes on keto? Have read Powerade zero helps, any other suggestions?

I drink broth for sodium in the morning and take magnesium supplements occasionally. Two bouillion cubes in about 20oz of warm water will stock you up with salt. Be careful with this though because it can also force a super strong BM since it is basically a saltwater cleanse.

I'm genuinely curious why people choose a diet (long term) that requires supplementation like Keto with electrolytes. Why is this considered the perfect diet according to many on this board if your body is saying that it needs more to properly function? I get it for losing a shit ton of pounds quickly and commend BearSchlong for his commitment and results, but I got the same results while eating ~100-150g of carbs a day. Anyone have any good peer reviewed sources for or against? I love nutrition and the arguments around it.

I have found hunger management to be exponentially easier to deal with by eliminating the carbs. In the past when I've been losing weight I have always had issues being hungry by simply restricting calories. Getting more from fats keeps me more satiated and thus more likely to stick with it.

The key is lying cattycorner in the hammock where your head is on side of the center line and feet on the other. Use a ridgeline system to ensure the hammock can be set to the right amount of slack regardless of the tree separation distance.  With my hammock set up correctly, I can lie almost flat.

100% this. I learned some rope splicing to make fixed loops and whoopie slings. With an adjustable length piece of dynaglide or high strength cord you can do wonders. The ridgeline makes your sag angle consistent regardless of distance from the trees and will significantly help with sleep comfort.

There is also a hammock sleeping pad that has wings kind of like a feminine pad that looks interesting, kind of unnecessary but it is cool that people are making more hammock gear.

In terms of using a hammock on a backpacking trip it seemed to me like getting the tarp or bug net addons make the hammock setup a similar weight to a nice backpacking tent, so you lose some benefits but on a short trip then those may not be necessary.
