Your position would be better if, in fact, Bozo wasn't right and you weren't a fucking asshole. Just an observation from another asshole.
Yeah, well, at least he's fucking, so he's got that going for him.

So, when purported "Christians" ask you the histrionic question "WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF 100K JUST SHOWED UP IN AUSTIN?".....isn't the Christian answer "well, I'd work to shelter and feed and clothe them?"
NBC aired a story just this morning showing how a poverty-stricken small town in New Mexico has managed to marshal $15K per day to help immigrants. This town has a poverty rate twice the national average, but somehow has opened its doors to assist. The local Catholic church alone is housing 300 migrants, with some 85 per week cycling through.
So yes, some Christians walk the walk. Some (like for instance many around these parts) just talk.

There are dozens of articles from both sides of the media. Pick one.
You have a really odd definition of "lie". It's almost as if you've never seen a politician speak *. Obama copped to a lot of things, mostly his naivete in how such a plan could be enacted, but he hardly admitted that when he was making those statements he had no intention of not keeping his promise.
* e.g., "no new taxes".

They have to be shamed.
Quoteshame/SHām/verbpast tense: shamed; past participle: shamed-
(of a person, action, or situation) make (someone) feel ashamed.
It is quite literally impossible to shame these people, because they are incapable of feeling ashamed.

I'm not sure it's irony or just sad, but Republicans are currently more outraged that AOC called border holding facilities "concentration camps" than they are outraged at what's going on within.
What a fucking world.
Fuck you, Republicans. Every fucking one of you.

Sure, what is the solution?
In your mind, being a heartless asshole, there is no solution.
The rest of us had no problem with the way things were before Trump started putting kids in, you know . . . concentration camps.
TL;DR -- Fuck off.

A proper pinch grip and cutting motion will go a long way to protecting both your blades and your fingers.
That's one of the most useful tips I've picked up off the food networks. I taught my younger two kids the same the moment they wanted to start helping in the kitchen. Both wield a knife like a pro. Our oldest cooks all the time and she might as well be swinging a hatchet. She refuses to learn to hold the damn thing correctly.

I say this as an old man who has been through a lot -- Life is a helluva lot simpler if you always try to do the right thing.
Yeah, teaching a kid that it's a whole lot easier to remember the truth than whatever lie is currently being floated is a perfect example. Once that light bulb comes on, though, they get it. Clearly for some people, that switch never gets flipped.

holding the hearings then having the senate blow off the vote is ridiculous, even to consider for them.
I would be happy with a down the middle approach: the House should start the inquiry and relentlessly uncover and lay out the facts, which would prompt the Senate majority to become even more brazen in their acknowledgement that they will never convict on impeachment trial. Pelosi can then say with no shame whatsoever that "we have all we need to impeach but the Senate will not convict, so we see it as a waste of time" . . . right around late summer 2020. Gut the Senators up for reelection and get out the national vote as well.

Probably used profanity after the runner stole 3rd, got tossed for that, then acted like a little shit. Coach should have whipped his ass right there on the field.
Coach should have marched him back to the ump and made him apologize. It wouldn't have been sincere, but it would have stung, regardless.

Springsteen -- love his lyrics, I'm fond of his songs, but I never quite got over the moon about the sound of his band. Can you lay off the xylophone, Bruce? I'll go back and listen to "Born To Run" and see what I think.
Shellac -- you're not the first to say that, Irish. I need to seek it out. I don't care if Steve's a dick, if the band is good, that just puts him in good company.

That Large Band recoding is insanely good imo.
Yeah, it's the perfect mix of live but well-separated. That opening track is one I take with me to audio stores and the sales guys are almost always apoplectic: "what the hell is that?"
I love a great big band.
And then . . . "Nobody Knows Me". No better cheatin' ballad, ever. Just fantastic. Damn, he's so smart. And he's an Aggie. LOL.

I have thoughts from a couple of different perspectives. My Dad's father bolted when my Dad was about two years old. My grandmother divorced him, but kept his name. (Things were different then.) My Dad seemed to mostly pity the guy. I always wondered how he felt about carrying that name. His father was a shiftless drunk. My Dad grew up to be the opposite, an absolute pillar of the community and a terrific professor.
I married someone who had two kids. Their dad essentially vacated his responsibilities once he and my now-wife split. He moved out of state, eventually out of country, and completely punted on many hundreds of thousands of dollars of child support and retirement money. My wife couldn't care less about the money, but his attitude towards his kids is reprehensible. I went into our marriage determined to be super-stepdad, and let me tell you, it's fucking hard. In our case, it's damn near impossible. There is a lot of lingering resentment over the divorce, huge cultural differences (I am my avatar, my stepkids are half-Bengali), and in general things have worked out "OK" but hardly great. I'm sure I could have done better. How? I have no idea. It's maddening. All I know is I took on another man's kids and have done my best to raise them as my own. If I had a nickel for every time I wanted to tell that fucker to man up I'd be rolling in nickels right now.

Looking at that fucking shameful picture closely. That asshole on the left with the shit-eating grin on his face. Look at that bullshit. Two men directly behind him were killed by hanging and he is fucking smiling. I can only hope that piece of shit was hit by a bus, survived it and was later killed in a woodchopper. Jesus our history has so many terrifyingly horrific events in it.
His hot girlfriend in the foreground seems a little turned on, too.
The thing about these kind of photos is how they reveal the mindset of the perpetrators. They have no empathy, no sympathy, no regard whatsoever for the deceased. If that were a couple of bird dogs hanging by their necks I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be smiling.

But the Oberlin types in question are the ones who wind up passing on their “values” to American youth.
What? There are no conservative professors who pass on their "values" to American youth? Did I miss the news that Liberty, Baylor, Oral Roberts, Texas A&M, BYU, Bob Jones, Harding, Pepperdine, and probably a hundred other schools closed their doors?
I won't dispute that the numbers skew left -- you might ask yourself why. It's probably not the answer you want to hear.

Good luck proving that negative. I guess evidence that Boren was in another state would do. Other than that, ???
