  1. Related question: I have two good friends who call me crazy for this, but I LOVE runny-yolk eggs atop buttered pancakes, with (not too much) syrup over it all. Crazy, or crazy-like-a-great-food-loving fox? If you've never tried it, try it.
  2. Agreed, and I am always confused as to why it seems so hard to make a really good pancake. It's really pretty simple, but the vast majority of places F it up. And too many of them resort to stuffing it full of a bunch of crazy fillings and topping with frosting or whatever to make it over-the-top sweet. A great pancake (blueberry being my particular favorite) may be the only thing that I would have a tough time NOT picking for my favorite, but considering that I already put the PB English Muffin up there, I'm not back-tracking. It's the chocolate cake of breakfast foods to me.

  5. I will say that almost anything with runny eggs (or non-over cooked scrambled eggs) is a strong entry. Eggs are the best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Sorry, thought "unpopular" was part of the thread title. My mistake, I guess.
  11. Agreed. However, I'll admit that when I first became EP I didn't know all of the things it got me. But point taken.
  12. Went to high school with Holt McCallany (Tench in the show). Made my history teacher cry in front of a full classroom, then when teach left he took over for the rest of the period. FDR was the subject of his "lecture" (complete with Thujone-esque chalkboard illustrations).
  13. Wings are a snack. Not a meal. That is all. And not a particularly good snack.
  14. Unless you are Exec Platinum, in which case the charge is waived. Other airlines may have similar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Depending on airline, status level may determine if there's a fee.
  16. Yeah, they should have used the stones that Jon was able to duck behind constantly when the undead dragon was breathing fire at him. They were indestructible.

  18. LOL at rapid-fire, hyper-accurate, VW-bus-at-400mph-energy-packing-when-they-hit crossbows. Ridiculous, ruined the whole episode for me. This is the secret weapon that defeats dragons routinely? Dragons kind of suck if so.
  19. It is impossible to be more wrong than this.
  20. I know it's just what everyone says about them, but burr grinders give a much more consistent grind. I prefer the coffee or espresso that I get using my burr grinder (Rancilio Rocky) vastly over the blade grinders I had before.
  21. Final update: ended up getting upgraded both AUS->JFK and JFK->LHR. We were #2 and #3 on both upgrade lists. First flight I put my wife in first and took coach, then got pulled up when the #1 (Concierge Key) didn’t board even after checking in. Then got put into business as soon as we got to the gate in DFW. Already upgraded for Madrid flight to DFW, so all-in-all, best I could have hoped for I think (DFW->AUS) would be icing, but a thin layer in comparison. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Coach DEV-uh-nee did pretty good there. Lol.
  23. My wife doesn't like whiskey of any type. But even she would know that Eagle Rare would be a great choice, should she be otherwise. I guess I've talked about it enough, had her pick some up for me often enough, etc. (She also knows it's relatively inexpensive for how good it is, so she doesn't begrudge me the purchase, which is nice.)
