Today's party was amazing. We were hoping for 150, and we had both Jack & Ginger's and the patio at Dogwood packed to the gills. CM Flannigan showed up in a tux, stood in a chair and delivered an electric speech. This thing is going to happen and it's going to be glorious.
Next official organizational meeting is November 4. Check out https://www.facebook.com/AustinAnthem/
Went to the Hispanic Chamber gala last night. Huge event with 800+ people. Mayor Adler sent a shoutout to Austin FC during his remarks and a cheer came up from the crowd when their logo came on the screen. There’s a ton of excitement about this.
Reminder about the big supporters group party on 9/29 from 4 to 6. Team will also be there with merch.
Big Supporters Group celebration on the 29th at Jack & Ginger’s Domain. Team will also be there, hopefully with fresh merch.

Love it, and my kids love it, but I forgot how about all the "driving around in the car while smoking cigarettes and drinking whiskey" stuff until the first time I watched it with them.
Company’s paying for mine, too. I just like being picked up and dropped off at my exact spot. I’m also a nerd about getting to the airport early after getting stuck in Savannah an extra day after missing my flight after too much Grey Goose one night, so not worried about the time.
I’m saying this as someone generally opposed to term limits. We get the government we deserve. I’d rather convince enough people that Pool is terrible for the city and vote her out as opposed to losing Flannigan after six years because of an arbitrary standard.
I think we are a couple council seats away from being able to make real progress. Both of those seats are up in 2020. I don’t think the current system allows a mayor to really drive an agenda.
Harding would be a win for the side of goodness and progress. Along with Pio and the mayor keeping their seat. D8 should be interesting. I’ve met with DePalma and he says all the right things but Ward has Troxy’s endorsement.
The pop ups have been a huge success. Gives me a lot of hope that the average Austinite, who is just now really learning about this, is really excited about it.
Say “hi” to Kelan for me if you pick something up.
Leslie Pool favoriting the tweet of the main Save the Crew guy on the Commissioners Court vote, while still not having met with the local soccer community, is the most Leslie Pool thing ever.
I can’t imagine that this symbolic vote changes anything.
Are we talking about Broadmoor or something else?

This is very true.
I make the walk with two elementary-school aged boys. No big deal, but you do have to walk slower. I just always pack an extra beer or two for the walk if they are coming.
