Shortly before committing suicide, child rapist Jeffery Epstein sent a letter to fellow child fucker Larry Nassar letting him know he was taking the shortcut out of prison and . . . informing Larry know that another child molester was living his best life. (Allegedly of course). From today’s document dump - the letter:

Chef's kiss that Bari Weiss spiking this segment actually brought it so much attention. And now she's put herself under the microscope moving forward as well.

That is true, but the bigger challenge almost all humans face is getting over the fact that life, itself, is not fair.

it's also not UNfair. it just HAPPENS.

over the years i've explained that to a number of young people in my life, when they've faced challenges and obstacles and wanted to claim victimhood...

life is NOT out to 'get you' and it is not inherently unfair or unjust...it just IS. a lot of shit just happens and it's up to the individual to assess and respond accordingly - that's where the responsibility lies. life really doesn't give a shit one way or another.

maybe i need to talk to these millennial white boys 🤔😄

  4. i don't know enough depth about the topic to add anything wholly substantive either way, other than my own anecdote as a white genx female in IT, married to an AA boomer, i definitely have a sense of 'welcome to the party, pal!' towards white millennial male discrimination grievances.

like, i get it, but...so? whole groups got a real shit deal for the vast majority of this country's history...and to fix it it seems like another group who traditionally has had it much easier than all those other groups now also might kind of be getting a shit deal? okay...as someone said above, the reality is we are ALL getting a super shit deal right now. so now what? 😕

anyways, mainly i would like to say that other than the expected suspects flinging their usual pop-in troll bs (moreso in the other thread actually)... both this and the MN fraud thread are good examples of intelligent people discussing/arguing the actual merits of a topic including nuance, facts and figures, and varying perspectives. not necessarily finding agreement, but just being able to have/read these discussions with a minimum of trolls poo-flinging is rather refreshing. kudos to most of the participants.

    i mean where am i??

To set my POV, I'm an elder millenial (b. 1981) white woman with a journalism degree who has exclusively worked in big tech marketing and PR my entire career. I understand what Bozo is getting at re: addressing why so many younger men are disillusioned with progressive politics and that we need to better address it if we want to win them over from the MAGA side. This article, however, is a poor avenue for a good discussion around this because the author is a whiny ass bitch. For much of this article, I kept thinking "no shit, that's something every generation of non-white, non-male has felt at some point. It's not poignant just because now YOU personally are feeling this pain." Some of it made me laugh out loud at the lack of self-awareness. Allow me to provide examples:

I also have two boys - Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Straight white males. What do I say when they ask about their hopes and dreams? Something along the lines of: "The world isn't fair, but in the vast majority of scenarios you already have a leg up being straight white boys. You do have to work hard, and you might get passed up sometimes for objectively unfair reasons. You might lose when you deserve to win. This happens to most people and is not unique to you or your circumstances. When it happens to you - and it will - you will not improve things by getting angry and spiraling and creating viral TikToks about it. All that gets you is surrounded by more anger and hatred. Look for ways to effect change without wallowing in your hurt. Talk to people in real life and not just online."

I don't know what to say to guys like Jacob Savage. I'm sorry that attempts to reverse hundreds of years of discrimination against others have resulted in you feeling like sometimes you got passed over for jobs because of who you are?

Win, lose, or draw, they’ll have an awful time in Pyle.

doubtful, i bet they encounter the friendliest and most helpful aggies who help them find Kyle and they are blown away by the awe-inspiring atmosphere, they'll probably even want to send their kids there!

  7. i am so glad to be retired... like 60% of my staff were Indians on work visas, they all had to travel somewhere annually to renew, others were naturalized...the stress and worry would be insane, and trying to manage a big team like that in this environment, under the 'leadership' in Texas would... not be healthy for me 😐 godspeed to all of them, good people, but i really don't want to hear about it if the worst happened/happens 😕
