Johntay Cook dismissed from the football team.
Absolutely agree, but that kind of means you have to have to recruit players that have some idea what adult behaviour looks like. Otherwise it's not a question of IF they will crash and burn, just when and where.

You make it sound like he was 12 years old.

Let's send the Freer HS Band to Canton - Steve McMichaels HOF Induction Parade
Doesn't seem like that much to get these kids to Canton and help honor a Longhorn great, yet it appears stalled short of halfway.

SEC scheduling mistake-to our favor.
So Georgia and F1 in Austin on the same weekend... That should be as much fun as when the Big XII did it. Hard to see a large number of GA fans willing to pony up the going rate for a hotel in Cedar Park ($380 for a Hyatt place as of this morning). Most of Austin is booked already. Oh well, stronger home field advantage for us.

Season Ticket Renewal
After the last couple of years of hot sunny days, I wasn't surprised to see shaded seats going first. I would gladly roast in the sun all day if it meant another game like last year!

Johnny (football?) Manziel
Party girl or walking Petri dish?

Johnny (football?) Manziel
Wholesome, clean, cute, smart are not words I would expect to use describing any girl that would hang out with Johnny.

Penn State sex crimes not going away
I'm always amused by guys saying things like "I do it to blow off steam", do they feel like they just have to say something? Or do they think that will somehow be mitigating? Like the cops will say "oh well since you were blowing off steam, you're free to go". Dude, you were screwing your dog. We had some serious weirdos in the faculty at UT back in the day, since we didn't have as many wildlife cameras back then we may have dodged a bullet.

Same kinda guy that names his other dog "Chunks".

Which cruise lines are trashiest?
Done a few cruises and liked them. I've never done Carnival or MSC but was told to avoid them. Alaska was nice, but not sure I would do it again. I prefer the warm water. Although, before I did the Alaskan cruise I never new that Skagway was an Eskimo word for "town with crappy gift shops". 😀

Galveston
That was it. Good stuff back in the day. Once, I got back into Ellington around 0700, did paperwork and was headed out the gate at 0945 or so. I slept in my car waiting for them to open. Woke up had BBQ then back to my place over near the gulf freeway and went into the full on food coma. Sorry to hear they are gone.

Okay, last ask on this topic. Is the Leeland house pretty crowed for lunch in the summer. As mentioned I'm making this a day trip and don't want to devote 3 hours to getting lunch. Looked up the air museum and sure enough it's at Ellington. I used to fly in and out of there for work but haven't been there since 1987. There used to be a BBQ place just to the north of the field, pretty ratty looking, but good Q. I think the owners were pretty old in '87 anyone know if it's still around or if there is something worthy of attention at lunch time near Ellington?

Galveston
That stinks. I knew they had moved the B-58, but I didn't know the whole thing was gone. I did the sub tour up in Cleveland, but not sure another sub would be with a day trip. The day sail might be with it.

How's Moody Gardens? I'm thinking of a day trip, take my wife to Moody Gardens, then lunch (looking at trying the Black Pearl, if it's not overloaded during the summer) then back out. Maybe do the routine again for the air museum.
