  1. I never said we weren't better and can't handle them. But by any objective measure one has to tip their cap to the M's for pushing their chips in at the deadline and grabbing some impact bats. I welcome the challenge, ending their season will only be sweeter now.
  2. While also watching the Mariners obtain not one but TWO sluggers from the Dbacks to plug into a lineup with the likely AL MVP, Arroz con Pollo, and JRod. That is a stout offense to compete against.
  3. Correa was excellent last year. He's still got some meat on the bone.
  4. BUT WHO'S GONNA BUY ANY MERCH??????!!! LULZ
  5. y'all, it's a joke. Suarez was a Mariner and they traded him away for salary reasons only to spend prospect capital to get him back not even two years later.
  6. the same people who buy merch at the ballpark? he's no Seth Beer

  13. the positional versatility is a plus
  14. Aaron Judge had a 30%+ strikeout rate in his first three seasons and has averaged 27.8 over his 10 yr career. I understand the contact concerns with Matthews but his exit velos when he makes contact and his athleticism screams "hold" to me. And the fact that he was Dana's first draft pick in the organization makes me think he's not going anywhere.
  15. Relatedly, it's worth remembering that the prospect Dana Brown deemed mostly untouchable in trade negotiations last year was none other than Jacob Melton. It will be interesting to see who he's more willing to part ways with between Melton and Matthews.
  16. I think it's a certainty that he's in the lineup on Fri
  17. three up, three down for Javier in the 2nd. Got his first swinging strike and K on Leo Rivas on a 94.6 four seamer.
  18. Javier struggled to throw strikes in the first inning. Infield single, walk, single, run scored.
