    so much for wag-the-dog

This is what it looks like when a guilty person doesn't have a lawyer.

Wag the dog doesn't work when the country has been in perpetual war mode for the last 16 years.

Yep it is worth the time to go to. Still have a couple of mid 80's HP 41 calculators and just used one this morning

I still use my 1992 HP 48SX every day.

  3. Yesterday my shitty internet was out for most of the day so I went through my bit torrent folder to find something to watch.  Found an unwatched documentary called "Murderball" about quadriplegic rugby.  The show was pretty freaking awesome and those guys are flat out maniacs - and all around assholes.

But what gave me a "woah" moment was when they were showing the history of one of the main characters and how he became paralyzed.  Apparently he was involved in a fight with his best friend in high school.  The name of that high school you ask, "Marjory Stoneman Douglas".

With CTE head injuries the kickoff will probably be replaced in the future... If I remember, the XFL had an odd way that kickoffs went as well...

Only thing I can think of is they didn't allow fair catches, not that you see a lot of that on kickoffs.  What you may be thinking of is the pre-game "scramble" where a dude from each team runs at the ball placed on the 50 yard line.  Whichever team grabs the ball gets to pick whether they want to kick or receive.  The scramble was in lieu of a coin toss.

It amazes me that I just watched that clip of that Texas/Arkansas game and became my 18 year old self again and pissed off all over again.  I will hate Todd Day, Lee Mayberry, and Oliver Miller forever.  Nolan Richardson was a fucking coward for leaving that game and then crawling back in.

Say what you will, but Mayberry and Day were bad dudes.  Mayberry's behind the back, between the legs 25 footer to send it to OT was unreal.

The 1990 tournament also had Loyola Marymount make the Elite 8 before getting clobbered by UNLV. Fun times watching the tourney that year.

The 1990 tournament was one of the best ever.  Hank Gathers from Loyola Marymount died during their conference tournament and they went on a heck of an inspirational run.  Bo Kimble shot the first free throw of every game left handed in memory of Gathers (and swished every one of them if I recall correctly).

LMU's beat down of defending national champ Michigan in the second round was probably the best display of offensive basketball I have ever seen in my life.  Those guys couldn't miss and beat Michigan by 34 and it wasn't even that close.

Only the weak minded ones, the ones who have mommy and daddy issues... you know,...... democrats....

I have a couple friends who are hard core democrats. We keep political discussions at a 35,000' level. They are completely un hinged about Trump. It's kinda sad to see otherwise intelligent people really lose their shit about someone.

republicans were totally in control of their emotions during Obama's time in office, right?

Unfortunately now Trump is in his comfort zone, where he's lived most of his adult life.... Cornered, hand in the cookie jar, and ready to battle in the courts.

I can't fathom anybody still not understanding that this guy is a walking talking piece of shit.

Going into a legal battle with Mueller is a lot different than suing a single-mom contractor for some shoddy interior decorating.

Ivanka, Eric and Don Jr. are probably already pissed that they have to cut the pie up to include Barron and Tiffany.  Now, there's the potential that their slices of whatever is leftover are smaller.

Has Dotard done anything to date that makes anyone think he gives even half a shit about Barron or Tiffany?

The other 64 years members of Congress got paid $6 - $8 a day, and then only when they met...that's about $115/day in today's money

Fucking hell, I'm all for this.  Make serving in Congress as lucrative as jury duty and that will scatter these assholes real quick like.  We can set up a dorm to house them when they are in DC complete with a shitty cafeteria.  Getting to and fro DC... your ass is flying coach at best and preferably taking Greyhound.

And before anyone gets on their high horse and bitches about the quality of representation this will bring, need I remind you of the current state of affairs?

It's typically a military thing.  If military folk are sitting around drinking and someone slams one on the bar, whoever doesn't have one has to buy a round.  If everyone has one, the person who started it has to buy the round.  It pisses me off to no end that pussies like Scott Fucking Pruitt could even have one, much less design one.

    That sounds pretty stupid.
