  1. I’m not sure why we insist on playing 1 central striker in a variety of the 433. Our personnel would at least warrant giving a 442 a runout. Soccer coaches are worse than NFL about all doing the same shit though.

  2. All the guys I share tickets with are out for next season. Guess I’ll just be selling a bunch of tickets when we can’t make it.

  3. Neither of our center backs has any passing range. Asking them to hit a long diagonal is just not in their toolkit.

We also really miss when Dani can’t advance the ball with his feet. RSL was happy to let our dual 6 midfield have the ball because neither of those guys were able to get the ball into the attacking third with any consistency. Owen had some interplay with Bukari at times but frankly the movement from the front 3 sucks. No one knows what the plan is to create offense and it shows.

It doesn’t deserve its own thread and since there are EPL teams in it guess it goes here…

Am I the only one who didn’t realize the Club World Cup was in the US?  Maybe it’s because there are no matches in Texas. It also doesn’t help that it’s being broadcast by something called DAZN, which until 30 minutes ago I’ve never heard of.

Soccer selling their rights to 2nd or 8th rate companies is such an own goal.   AppleTV for MLS and USMNT with Fox and TNT have driven both into the shadows.   There is ZERO buzz for the real World Cup which is a year away.   It sucks, but the only way to get eyes and people talking about a sport is ESPN.   If they aren’t hosting they do the bare minimum to promote or talk about it.

You’re not the only one. That’s crazy that DAZN has the rights in the states. They’re popular enough in Europe, but I’ll have to Google what providers even carry them here.

But we have cabinet-level people who are pushing the government to A) stop letting the people know when shit is going down and B) distrust vaccines (and actively work against them). Seems like a ready-made disaster for terrorists to exploit.

Well the chucklefucks in liberty hill aren’t being nice enough to share their kid’s immunizations or travel history per that KXAN story. So seems like that strategy is working all the way from the top to the local level. Considering how many immunocompromised kids I personally know at my kid’s elementary, I’d expect it to be the same everywhere. I’ll never understand how they care so little about the people around them. Selfish fucking people.

  6. In response to the above about homeless: imo I’ve seen more of them everywhere post covid. I get that Austin has more than some spots but traveling through Houston, SA etc I’ve noticed more across the board. You even see them in the suburbs, which seems like a change. I think it’s pretty obvious it’s a national issue but wtf do I know, other than politically it’s going to be a game of finger pointing as to who should do something about it.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Starting Thursday, passengers traveling out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will need to pay increased parking rates at two garages.

The new rates impact the Red and Blue Parking Garages, while the Economy Parking Lot rates stay the same.

Red Garage daily rate is changing from $32 to $35

Red Garage hourly rate is changing from $5 to $7

Blue Garage daily rate is changing from $23 to $26

I have no idea what other airports run these days but ABIA pricing seemed steep to me before. It’s getting close to the cost of a cheap flight just to park your car over a long weekend.

and yes I know their are cheaper options via shuttle. But fuck that when rolling with kids.
