  1. Uh, can you provide some background on that?  If I remember correctly he was pretty clear about his recommendations to MLS around starting/improving their academies, but I have slept since then.

  2. Ya I ended up just going with Raleigh as Floratam apparently doesn't do well with any shade, and couldn't justify the extra cost for Amerishade around a house we might outgrow in a year or two.  We'll see how it goes, I need to trim some limbs in the back as well so maybe that'll help.  Also I'm tilling in some compost as the soil sucks currently.

    ^African Jews i'm sure.

Seems like quite an expense to rent that piece of equipment, then dig that hole, throw some chemical on them and then kill em with fire.  Surely a bolt stunner would be faster and more humane.

Did not watch, but not sure that a bolt stunner kills viruses.  Fire does.  Sometimes.

  4. I think its Tuesdays that CM Westgate has 25% off growler fills.  I think growler fills were already cheaper for mainstays like EJ, but this makes it significantly less than going across the street and buying their beer at PHP South Lamar where it's brewed.  Makes no sense, but I'm not arguing.

I actually think a big money sale of Aubama would be smart from Arsenal. Provided they reinvest it wisely.

    Buffon is leaving PSG.

and that’s coming from an arsenal fan. Whoever else said up thread it’s a large number of goals to replace is right. Our strikers covered up for a bunch of middling team performances in the 2nd half of the season to get results from games. Auba was the majority of that.

Oddly, Arsenal mostly played well as a team early in the year and had shitty results. So who the f knows.

  6. I finally finished, had work and stuff that kept me from getting caught up.

It certainly fits with GRRMs original title of "A time for wolves", and his assertion that there wouldn't be a happy ending.  But jesusshitdicks, the writing fucking sucked.  I even thought the acting performances from some of the weaker actors were better than previous seasons, but that wasn't enough.

Not even close. Clod is very similar to the flat of a brisket in texture and fat content, though my palette says it tastes more gamey. Clod works great for product you would put shredded or chopped beef in. And some CenTex places use it as “lean brisket”.

Cheek has the texture of beef plate rib, but the richness you might expect from beef that was dry aged for 21 days or so. When it has been braised or cooked at low temps by sous vide it is really spectacular.

Just to check on this, when you say low temps in sous vide you talking steak temps of 130, or something else?  During the summer I pretty much avoid the oven and stovetop as much as possible so sous vide/grill/smoker gets most of the work.  After having Leroy & Lewis beef cheek I'm looking to add it to the beef rotation at home, it was spectacular.

  8. I have a regular Chase Sapphire, considering upgrading to the Preferred to get rental car coverage as I travel a good bit for work and have trips to Germany and Scotland coming in the next year.  Worth it for the Reserve or not?  Or should I close the CS and then open a CSP/CSR?  Also have a Chase Freedom in the wallet already, generally I'm trying to stick to United as my better half already has a companion pass and more SW points than we can use.

    Advice?

Any strong feelings on strains of St. Augustine?  I'm going to resod the back yard (fairly shaded) and parts of the front (shaded, but less than the back).

Currently at King Ranch turfgrass in South Austin Amerishade is $255/pallet, Floratam is $195, and Raleigh is $165.  We have a fairly clay heavy soil if it makes any difference.

    Buehler?

Also, Roundup still preferred herbicide for unwanted Crepe Myrtle?

You have a Rochester connection? Just curious as to how you got ahold of Forager.

Previous job had me doing a decent amount of work at the Mayo Clinic

Forager in Rochester, MN. IPAs in back, tart saison up front. All excellent. These guys can make a legit claim to best brewery in Minnesota, and Top 10 in Midwest.

I don’t know MN beer well enough to comment how they compare to others, but I agree that they make fenomile beer.
