This talk reminds me of watching Lone Star Law on Animal Planet. The one about the Texas Game Wardens. It is amazing how non confrontational they are and just all around good guys that aren't out to get anyone. I feel like the entire police system could take notes and if all officers behaved like the Texas Game Wardens, the world would be a much better place. I know it is definitely a different deal on a different level, but I think there are definitely things to be learned about their general demeanor.

In Tech’s Elite 8 run they didn’t have a major contributor who was over 6’5. But... they had a ton of those 6’5 guys who could switch on every screen and were a nightmare defensively.
I’m not worried at all about trying to find a 6’10 center. We may not even have a center.Tariq Owens says howdy.

Texas can have Santos-Silva, the amount of easy shots he missed this year was mind blowing.

It is a real feel country club elite mat, like 1.5” thick. I am not worried.

So trying to get back into hitting a few more golf balls lately. I have a tract of land close to my house that has a neat hilltop that I want to make a cool little wedge range out of. I am thinking of about 5 or 6 targets out to about to 100 yards, maybe 150, but I am thinking 100. My thought is to make some 10'x10' targets out of rusty corrugated tin that make a nice thud when hit. You guys think 10'x10' is big enough out 100 yds, I am kind of thinking it will be pretty hard to hit initially? I guess I can spray paint something first and see how many times I can get it close to see if worthwhile and then go from there...Any thoughts or input is appreciated.
Here is a pic:
The beginning of the brighter green area in the middle is 100 yds. I am probably going to take out a few more cedars. There is a pretty good drop off that is hard to see, the green area at 100 yds is probably 20' lower than the hitting mat..

Appreciate all of the info, definitely some good considerations. Will run all the numbers with my truck and the prospective travel trailers I am looking at and see how they shake out.
I really hate towing shit, so probably have white knuckles and a grumpy attitude no matter what, but other than buying a class C or something I don’t know of any reasonable alternatives?
I assume you guys that tow get more comfortable towing over time?

Thanks! One question, I have a Z-71 suburban, where can I figure out what that truck will most comfortably pull? I don’t want to go with anything too big that will completely tax it, but definitely don’t want something that is too small...

I would go with Sesame. Just ordered 25lbs from Hancock seed for myself. Sesame is nice because the deer and hogs won’t touch it nor will cows or horses. Planted last few years and it has done great and brought in lots of birds.

Capn’ I am jealous!
To piggyback, I have 2 young boys and looking for our first RV. Would like to start with a travel trailer similar to one of the Jayco bunkhouse models.
Any thoughts from any of you afficianados?

Also, the HEB site updates every 30 seconds, so just keep at it and new places with availability pop up every 30 seconds...
hopefully you can eventually find one close enough to you.

These fucking websites. The HEB one never works, and I’ve tried hundreds of times. Even when I choose one of the very rare ones with like 20 spots available, when it’s time to choose the time it always says “that time slow is already taken”. This morning I’ve also tried CVS, waited, got to where it starts asking you questions, then eventually “oops, can’t continue due to a technical glitch, bye”. But I kept at it and got farther to where it shows you a location and dates, and it asks you to choose a time, and then “sorry all time slots are taken”. Fuck this bullshit.
Keep at it. When it says "technical glitch", use a browser in private mode or something because it is timing you out as you tried too many times or some bullshit. I just spent the last 2 days getting appointments for my parents and I got that system figured out. If you use your phone, once you get to the part that asks your location, just keep hitting the "use my devices location" button over and over until an appointment pops up. Sometimes the times are taken and you just have to try again, eventually a location with times will pop up...

Back to billboards - anyone have any contacts I could get some info from? Or get a quote/estimate on builds and leases?
Going rate based on a recent deal I did west of Austin is $6,000/yr. That is Hwy 71, not I-35...Not sure what the difference in lease rates might be from Hwy to Interstate...

Piggybacking on this for one question. How can I get sound on my outdoor speakers from my outdoor tv without having to run a hard line. Outdoor speakers powered through receiver inside the house.

Lets hear it. Been a divided fan all my life but remodeling the kitchen and would like to hear thoughts from folks that have gone from a divided sink to a full sink.
When I cook, I like to have a side full of hot soapy water for dirty dishes...If you have gone to a full sink, what do you do instead?

Nothing to see here -- just a town declaring a state of emergency before releasing body cam of police shooting!

Yea, no doubt you are only seeing the good confrontations, but I think a lot to be learned.
