  1. You…seriously didn’t already know this?
  2. The problem with saying Georgia will automatically drop out of the top 4 if they lose is that has never happened before. No #1 seed has dropped out of the top 4 on Selection Sunday. The word precedent gets mentioned here a lot when it comes to 1 loss conference champ versus 1 loss non conference champ. Well there’s precedent of also not dropping the #1 seed out of the top 4 if they lose as well. With that said, there also hasn’t been this many teams battling for a spot this late in the season. That committee is praying to whatever god they believe in that the easiest thing happens on Saturday for them because if it doesn’t, they will have a shit ton of questions to answer (and potential fanbase to answer to)
  3. I mean, I hate ou just as much as anyone else on here but this is absolutely correct. And as everyone can see, aggy is in spin mode. “Insiders” pumping out all sorts of sunshine messages? Check. Try to make it known that the admin and athletic department are united? Fucking check. Pump up Elko as the best hire since Bear Bryant even though we did that with Jimbo? Checkity check. Make it know that Elko “gets us”? Absolutely check Have people with a lot of followers make up shit like getting texts from other P5 coaches and Texas high school coaches who are praising the Elko hire? Mother fuckity check. This is an athletic department/fan base/college who is making decisions not in the best interest of what will get their football program actual championships but instead what they believe will just beat Texas next year. This is how juvenile they are. But for some reason because Elko coached there before, that automatically means this is the right hire/right fit all because he agreed to keep Robinson and the recruits they bought because they believe that class is the class to a.) beat Texas and b.) maybe win something prominent. Yes, what Elko did at Duke was impressive, but he’s not the home run hire they are making it out to be. A&M is great at manufacturing just horseshit and trying to sell it as gold, and they are primed and ready to do that again with the hire of Elko.
  4. After seeing the bracket what are your thoughts on how far we can go?
  5. We know where their priorities are
  6. Looch saying the Elko hire had agreement from both the athletic department and the board as if everyone united
  7. I actually think they are contemplating doing the same thing with Elko like they did with the Stoops news 🤣
  8. Omg we get it, you loooooove Fritz
  9. No I didn’t. I never once used the words “throw” “out” or “guidelines” You seriously do not comprehend this, and that’s fine. I said they must consider certain criteria because that’s exactly what it says on their website. That doesn't’ mean they have to abide by that. It just means they must take it under consideration.
  10. I don't have to have served on a non-profit board lol. What the fuck? Is that your criteria for determining how everyone here is wrong and you are right? You need help. No one is saying the committee will ignore their guidelines. The committee will consider their considerations and then make a decision. You're just not comprehending, and that's okay. You don't understand--just admit it.
  11. That's exactly what consideration means: "yes, we took that into consideration (we thought about it) but ultimately we though something else was stronger"
  12. I think Missouri is headed to the Peach Bowl We would get something like Ohio State or Tulane in the Cotton Bowl, most likely Tulane.
  13. The problem with your lapse in logic is no one here is stating they believe there is a conspiracy. Only you are thinking that. If you think what I wrote means I believe there is a conspiracy, then you're a fucking idiot. If Texas doesn't get in, I will not believe it to be because of a conspiracy. It will be because of subjectiveness--that, in and of itself--does not imply conspiracy.
  14. This was my argument last week and people got their balls in a tizzy. There are criteria they consider, and that does mean they have to abide by said criteria. The criteria they consider isn’t a rule or policy. Essentially, they can do whatever the fuck they want.
  15. Tarp (the reasonable aggie) is saying Elko with Robinson on staff
  16. If they call Traylor (again), he should say no and take the Houston job.
  17. This means Stoops would have been a great hire
  18. And yes, aggy is getting massacred by media today for a.) doing what they did to Stoops (I guess he’s pretty well liked) and b.) acting uppity about their coach when they have nothing that says they are that type of program.
  19. Glorious (and Bomani is a UT fan and has been critical of UT when we were in our shit years)
  20. It’s aggy—they told potential candidates they had to keep Robinson. What coach wants to walk into a situation where he’s being told he has to keep certain members of the staff and not build his own staff, one who he is personally comfortable with and believes gives him the best chance to be successful? It’s like the idiots who were saying whoever we hired for basketball should keep Terry as an assistant. What big time coach would agree to being told what to do with their staff? Robinson would accept the job with those types of conditions because he’s never been a HC before and maybe wants the opportunity. I don’t think he’s even been a coordinator. This is a shit show, and I’m warming up some of my mom’s pecan pie from turkey day and will be eating that while following along 😎
