Gerry saying some ‘22 recruits are turned off by the SEC but that he trusts Beard and company to win over WhT recruit they want.

West Virginia if the ACC says no thanks? West Virginia gives you a perfect pod of West Virginia, Maryland, Rutgers, Penn State. Plus WV adds basketball and isn't as bad as KU in football.
ACC is at 15 and can add ND to hit 16. There really is no other choice besides West Virginia or ISU.
They’d probably rather have Iowa State since ISU is AAU

If you don’t think Texas and OU wouldn’t make some calls to save 10s of $millions, minimize political backlash and avoid 4 lame duck seasons then you’re naive. This is as well planned as the D Day invasion.
They aren’t making those calls bro. Stop it.
They let those schools know they themselves better find their own home quick because we aren’t coming back the minute they saw we weren’t on the B12 call last night.
KU is finding their own home. we didn’t help them. Tech chancellor has indicated they are doing their own thing. That’s not us helping them.
Thats just not how this works. If we want the GOR to end after this season, we will find a way and that doesn’t mean we have tell other conferences to please take our leftover schools just to safe UT money. Good Christ.

I didn't say we would.
Youve implied that in nearly every post with my quote.

I'm just saying we will help because it benefits us.
No we aren’t actively going to call other conferences to ask them to take tech or okie state. That’s not going to happen.

Because we don't have to. Texas and OU knew that the moment this became public, all other teams in the Big 12 would be reaching out to conferences, who now have a renewed sense of urgency to expand. Reports are saying that is exactly what is happening. Why waste time and money on a problem that will take care of itself? I'm sure Texas will take a phone call from a conference for some insight on the administration of a school, but Texas isn't going to make phone calls or sit down at any tables on behalf of other Big 12 schools.
Exactly.

Getting 2 more out before the grant of rights expires is worrying about Texas though.
Texas isn’t finding other conferences for certain remaining schools just for that purpose. If we want out of the GOR, we will find a way out. But that doesn’t mean we are trying to find other conferences for tgecrensjjjng schools. We aren’t doing their homework for them.

Chip is reporting that that we will tell the league on Monday that we won’t be renewing the grant of rights in 2025. There are some pretty onerous financial penalties to leave before that. No doubt we’ve been working on soft landing spot for OSU and TT so we can leave earlier and avoid that.
Stop with this shit. No we haven’t.
Texas has been worried about Texas which is how it should be.

DP show citing Bohls' tweet and calling him an "insider". I made sure to get on their chat row and tell everyone what a dumbass Kurt really is.
So is Sirius Ch. 84, and I’m driving thinking “no he’s the fuck not.”

OSU and Michigan never tried to leave the Big 10 because that’s a superior (and older, more established) conference. I don’t get how you’re not understanding that. The Big 12 had “original members” leave before the conference was even old enough to legally drink. That should have told you everything you needed to know about this conference.

The one regret every Iowa State fan who's posted one has stated is that ISU didn't abandon the Big 8 for the Big 10 when they head a chance. You're simultaneously upset at Texas and OU for hurting their conference mates by leaving for a perceived better situation and upset at ISU for not doing the same thing when they had a chance.
It's purely selfish emotion, which is completely understandable and would exist here if the situations were reversed, but don't act like Texas and OU fans are the bad guys. We're just the lucky guys.

Why are KU boards thinking Vanderbilt is leaving the SEC for the Big10?

There's no way in hell we wait until 2025. That's insane. Option one is leave with 2 other schools. Option 2 is to break the agreement and settle with the other schools.
Gagree. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was our last season in the 12.

for all of yall saying WVU is an “easy add” to the ACC, man their message boards do not agree. I’ve checked out several of them in the last 24 hours and the consensus on them all is they have been told before the ACC doesn’t want them.
They also don’t think they are Big10 material because they aren’t AAU.

wtf. KState and ISU instead of TCU or Baylor? Those are big 10 schools all day. Maybe they think Tech secures the Texas market enough to not need TCU/baylor
Kansas is a Big 10 school. K-State is lucky they aren’t in the Horizon League. Let‘s be clear about that.
