  1. United Airlines uses something called the Hogan to pre screen pilot applicants before any interview process starts. If you "fail" maybe we'll get back to you in a year or two and you can retake it. Lost out on a lot of good people that are probably at Delta now.

Apparently it was written by a woman, so I advise all new hires to let their spouse take it for them. Fucking HR man.

I was Myers-Briggs’d at Delta so they probably had to take it there too.
  2. Not sure if they are the "worst", but AA has declined. I was traveling to Lincoln every week most of last year and started by flying to Omaha on AA - largely to avoid flying UA to Lincoln because of all of the PR disasters they had endured.

However, the service wasn't great, the attitude of the FAs was mediocre (some great, many indifferent, some bad), and eventually I just wanted to try another option. I went ahead and did a status challenge on UA to give it a shot and I was very pleasantly surprised how much better they were - on time more often, friendlier service, and they treat their elites a LOT better than AA. For example, the lowest level elites on UA are listed for upgrades on all domestic flights regardless of distance - AA requires 500 mile coupons for any flight over 500 miles for their Gold and Platinum elites. I like the Denver and Houston hubs (O'Hare is a disaster no matter who you fly) better than DFW and AA's hubs.

As for Southwest - their selling point is that they are superior on price and performance and neither are no longer true outside of some "fun fares". Their on time performance is the same or many times worse than all three majors (and consistently behind DL) and their prices are - outside of promotional fares - basically in line with what everyone else offers. They aren't the same as they used to be, and I think brand loyalty is keeping them going until people wake up to the fact that it's just another airline but with no seat assignments or first class.

He was much highly ranked. This is a guy that started the year in the top 50 prospects.  Had committable offers from bama, osu, Texas all with a bunch of others.  Barton Simmons saw him in a camp.  Washington was injured but still participated and still won WR MVP at the camp.  Barton dropped him like 400 spots after the camp.

This is why these guys work shitty jobs as recruiting analysts and not for recruiting staffs for actual schools.  They have no idea how to evaluate players.  Saban, Meyer, Herman all thought this guy was worthy of an offer but Barton Simmons dumbass takes one camp and drops him bc he didn’t like his speed in the drills lmao.

His ranking history. Dropped 43 spots in February, then 476 spots in July. He continued to fall throughout the season. 247 didn't have him in the top 500 for a long time and still has him as a three star recruit in their rankings.

  4. Good grief. Hue is arguably the worst HC in NFL history. He's terrible. Bungles would be stupid to hire him.

Marvin Lewis had a good run, but nobody survives three straight losing seasons.

Vance Joseph is the first HC in Broncos history to have consecutive losing seasons. He should never have been hired.

interesting to see Kubiak's name out there - if he can coach again he needs to come back to Denver.
