  1. I don't think so.  If a player knows what is coming, it can change the outcome of any particular at bat in a very statistically significant way.  Major League hitters can hit anything if they know what is coming.

Unless you’re the Yankees trying to hit McCullers curveball.

Rhule needs to parlay this season now.  He's a good, perhaps great coach but he had a very upper-class laden team this year and he knows it.   That shit helps a lot.

Didn't they also avoid the injury bug?

Regardless, he should be a top choice. He won at Temple and then turned around Baylor after a major scandal.

don't think there is any way he leaves the Pats with the possibility of taking over for Belichick (maybe) to join the fucking browns.

Patriots struggled on offense this year. Browns will of course hire the guy that the Patriots are looking to fire if they don't make the Super Bowl.

This. We watched his offenses for years in the Big 12. We’ve seent it with our own eyes. We, of all teams, know what it means for a bad defense to let down a good offense.

    And vice versa.

We are excited because we appear to be hiring someone competent for once. It's refreshing.

  5. Sure, I got the point.

Yurcich had great games with some total dumb shit calls that cost us games.

He’s a good OC but not a elite play caller.

You do realize we’ve been through Shawn Watson and Tim Beck right?

Is he better than those two?

  6. A few thoughts:

    1. I don't mind Palpatine being back, but the execution was poor. Being hooked up to a bunch of machines in a far off place doesn't work for me or fit the lore - although he does mention that he's trying to get Rey to perform a ritual to turn her where he likely will have a lot of say in her actions.

    2. I loved that Rey is related to Palpatine, but it wasn't set up well from TLJ and I'm saying that as someone who liked TLJ. Johnson's decision to try to say that she had no force lineage doesn't make sense when she is as powerful as she is. Being related to one of the most powerful sith ever fixes that.

Anyway, there's some good payoffs from TLJ in this movie that I think people missed. I don't entirely agree with this take but it's a pretty good post on the topic:

  7. Anyone who rates TLJ lower than Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones doesn't really appreciate how bad those movies were and how poor the reception was for them. TPM was a massive letdown after waiting so long for the "next Star Wars movie".

Last Jedi had a split between the reviewers and fans, but EVERYONE agreed episodes 1 and 2 were horrible. In fact, if they had been released today then it's unlikely Episode 3 is even made (or at best, released straight to Disney Plus).
