  1. Sucks that so many of these skits are hard to find online.  Hell, I have Peacock, and they've taken out some of the content.  I'd love to be able to find the following skits, which are some of my favs:

    • Neil Diamond Storytellers (There's audio on YT, but not video)
    • "All Out of Love" Hilarious skit in which Farrell and (I think) Chris Kattan sing Air Supply songs
    • The Wayne's World where they mock Madonna's, "Justify My Love".  "You can see the unit on that guy!"

This season blows. Terrible teams and no real travel.

My issue is that they're only visiting Hispanic countries giving teams that speak Spanish a huge advantage.

Also, I'm still trying to figure out how the navigation/puzzle challenge could have possibly been so hard.  All but one team had the damn starting line tile bleeding off one of the sides.  The track started and ended at the same spot, the tile had to have a single road above and below it.  And it had to be on the right side as they made a large loop around to the left.  There.  3 of the 9 tiles.  Even without actually driving the track, the puzzle shouldn't have been that difficult.

  3. Um.  That was something.

Also, re: Colby.  IIRC, he had made a promise to Tina to bring her to the final knowing she'd probably win.  He didn't want to break his promise.

He probably will be but last year they just counted off how ever many fans they'd let in at a time and send them to a line of tables with players, didn't look like you could pick a line. You could probably just have your kid wander to that table on his own then get forgiveness rather than permission

@Dennis Taylor is correct.  I believe there were 4 different lines, and you didn't have the ability to pick.  And, FYI, get there really early.  IIRC, my son and I got there about 45 mins early and didn't make it to the tables in time.

I'm loving the app, but do have a question about the rewards.

Per the TX/UM tickets.  Walk me through this.  After the referral, it states,

    1. The offer will be available to claim on 4/18/24 between 12:00PM - 12:15PM PT by those who are eligible.

Does that mean that one must log in and apply for that specific offer during that specific time frame?  i.e. 2:00PM - 2:15PM CST on April 18th?  Then, I'd check my email over the next 2 hours as that would be the only time I could buy the tickets IF I won the drawing part?

Sorry for such a simple question.  I promise I do have a bit of reading ability.  I just want to ensure I'm understanding this correctly.

    Spoiler

Is this the one where the really spiritual black lady lost because she got caught up in singing a religious song and removed her hands to clap?  IIRC, there was actually a short-lived tv series with this concept in mind; however, it got cancelled quickly due to the fact that folks were so hard-core, they thought a contestant might die.  I believe they were competing for farm equipment (tractors?) or somesuch.

Japanese riddle talkers.   I rarely know wtf they're talking about.

I keep getting a Mack Brown vibe during the dialogue(s).  All ass kissing and platitudes.

  8. Good episode.  Jem's Indian, right?  She should know about karma.  I'm all about playing the game and being sneaky; however, I'm not a fan of straight up dishonesty.  She deserved to go for this plus her outright stupidity.

There you go. Jake Hammer. Frierson. The Garcia dude. Everyone understood Bryan White. We scratched our heads about the other three.

Bryan White used to attempt the “I’m a longhorn football player” move on my girlfriend and her friends in a class they all had. I can’t say I blame him, but he was a bit of a wee man and they thought it was funny in an eye-rolling way.

That's it.  Jake Hammer stands out - partially due to his name.  I can almost see the writeups in Dave Campbells.

Reminds me of the typical white kid that mack would take just to take as early as possible so he could kick up his feet and be a lazy fuck. I'm glad we're past that now it seems.

LOL.  The first year I truly started following recruiting, Texas had some sort of Deer Park pipeline.  I was absolutely sure this was going to take us to the next level.  I think we signed 4 players from that school in one year.  Or, perhaps I'm misremembering.  I think this would have been around 1991.

We needed to lose to Jamaica’s B team AND not make it out of the group in the Copa and only then, would there be a hot seat. Then it would depend on a player mutiny and pushback from financial sponsors & talking heads.

The first 95 minutes of the Jamaica game was so bad, I had actually settled on this as the reason.  I thought, perhaps they're throwing the game to get a new coach in place by Copa.

  12. Also, the shit-talking, Mexican janitor is going to love his decorations when he gets to school tomorrow.  /all in fun.  He's a great guy.

Sweet.  I actually went to 4 "Dos a Ceros".

2001 My future wife and me.  Damn near froze to death.  She missed the Josh Wolff goal because all of the women were huddled under a heater in the bathroom during, and shortly after, halftime.

    2005 Awesome experience.

2009 Damn near froze to death.  Drank too much and passed out in the bathroom.

2013 Awesome game.  Missed the damn march because I drank my first 4loko during the buildup.  First time I ever experienced an "electric" crowd.  Just amazing.

i was at the first one, and there have been 4:

    010228

    050903

    090211

    130910

One wasn't a qualifier, yes?  Was the first one the one where it was like 15 degrees at game time?  Coldest I'd ever been.  Wife missed the Josh Wolf goal cause she was huddled ng with all the other women in the bathroom - heater.
