  1. 300/500/500

UTG opens 1200. I make it 4k on BTN w AQhh. He re pops it to 10200. I call. 21.7k pot

    6h4c3d. He 12k I call. 45.7k pot

Jh. He checks, I go 20k. He brief tanks then jams 66k and I just barely have him covered.

    I fold. 46k to win 178k.

    49.7k stack. Damnit.

  2. 200/400/400

Stacked a guy (Kelly Jo, the winner of yesterday’s 6-max) with my AJ vs his JT on J high board and stack up to 125k

    Next hand I open UTG1 to 900 w Ad9d. Button makes it 3100 and I call.

Qd6d6h. I check and he makes it 1700. I decide to just call.

    4d. Chk chk

Td. I make it 6k. He tanks and then bets out 20,200 leaving 25k behind. I know he’s boated up but can’t find the fold. Call to see QQ.

Still fine with 95k this early

  3. Room is full of pros. My starting table has ONE reg, and he won yesterday’s 6-max. Going to be a slog

50k starting chips, 1 hour levels.

As we finish level 2, I have 76.2k, mostly from a flopped top two that I got 3 streets of value with

  4. Last night Threads really performed well with election coverage... was able to stay on top of everything without the unhinged masses piling on.  It was really nice.  Its also been great for staying updated on (how to make this non-CR) current events re: judicial proceedings in Manhattan.

Plus it was a good way to find new Follows

Ok, something just occurred to me here.

As far as I can tell, all of the loans in question here closed long prior to limitations, like 2010, 2011, 2012.  They objected to her testifying to any of that.

But where that may be important is that, yes there was a species of fraud occurring every time Trump submitted a bs SFC according to loan covenants.  So that sustains the summary judgment.  And those events all occurred within limitations.

But the fraud that set the loan terms occurred outside the statute of limitations.  So, I am not sure Engoron is really going to be able to look at the loan terms to decide a disgorgement number.  There may be some way around this.

    But prepare your anus.

They've frequently brought up that the terms of the agreement required DJT to maintain a certain net worth.  Presumably if he had to attest to "still" being above the number (or perhaps failing to report that he had fallen under it) at any date inside the limitations, the savings he subsequently experienced on interest rates due to that fraud would be subject to disgorgement.

  6. I'm of the belief that whomever is being polled that is liberal or left leaning independent is answering the poll questions as a means of swinging the hammer and making their point that they want someone other than Joe (predominantly because he's a horrible communicator, imo) and/or that they want their pet position to get more action from the Dems in office.  Their tune will change when its a solidified race between Joe and Trump.  They're not staying home, and their not voting for Trump or a 3rd party candidate that will spoil a Biden win.

In other words, I think the polls are accurate in that they reflect what they're being told, not in that they reflect the actual likely vote to be cast by the respondent.

  7. Tourney was 35ish players, 3 getting a ticket to main event and 4th getting $1100.

Down to final table of 9, I started as shortest stack with 22k at 500/1k/1k, but the disparity on the table wasn’t large. One guy had 100k but most of the table was in the 30-50k range so no worries.

At 7 handed and blinds of 1k/1.5k/1.5k I had worked my stack up to 50k when I get KQo in HJ. I open to 3500. Old man tourney reg on button makes a hesitant call, BB competes. 13k pot

A87 rainbow. BB checks and I cbet 5k. BTN again makes a hesitant call. BB folds. 23k pot

    7. I check and BTN pretty quickly checks back.

    A. I check and he snap throws three 5k chips for 15k bet into 23k pot. Why? What story is he telling? I actually laughed while thinking through this one and finding pretty much 0 non-bluffs he’d do this with.

I call and he slams down 66 angry that he got counterfeited

I pretty much coasted in from there

  8. Chugging along myself. 1.5 lbs week is fairly easy compared to 2 lbs so I hardly ever even use the elliptical anymore.

Currently bouncing around 196 which is 70lbs off my starting weight 14 months ago. Some sick part of me wants to touch -100 lbs but that may not be wise. I’d guess I only have 15-20lbs of reasonable fat left to lose and hope to get there by Feb/Mar.

I bought a Medium Tall golf shirt last week and it fits great. Medium! So bizarre for a guy whose self identity was always the “big guy” in the room. Also comfortably getting into 34” shorts and looking at tapered pants! Good times

That’s what I thought. So all of the folks here saying that “someone” won’t let a vote happen for a speaker who cuts a deal with democrats, how would that work. For example let’s say someone can get enough votes from a republican private vote. Would the speaker temp then arrange for a public vote where a few democrats at the end put him/her over the top? How are the minority republicans going to stop that?

I don't believe the minority republicans could stop it alone.  However, it would be difficult to win the nomination from the caucus in the first place if they knew of your plan to solicit Dem votes.  You'd have to be sneaky about it.

ETA: and even then you have to deal with the MTV rule that still allows Gates to tank the speakership all over again
