  1. Coaching 9-10yo flag football. I have to do the full warm up routine with them. If not, I’ll definitely pull a hammy or back trying to keep up with them.  When I’m warmed up, I can almost cover the wheel rout as a safety.  Not the black kids though. They’re fast.

    deposition lulz

I got deposed during the case and during the deposiion the lawyer asked me if I ever used "blacklabx11" as a username.

I use blaklabx11 on a few places like playstation network and the apple game center on my iphone. What the fuck did I say on clash of clans or star wars battle front that could possibly relate to this case  thought as he asked the question. Then I remembered I used blacklabx11 at reddit. Oh fuck.

For some stupid reason I did an AMA on reddit. the ama is here
    https://www.reddit.com/r/LonghornNation/comments/2g4ntd/blacklab_owner_of_shaggybevo_ama/

the lawyer slid a printout of the ama over and started asking questions. The transscript is below.

  3. I realize it's only worth whatever someone will pay, but I have a verbal appraisal on a chair at $10,000.00.

It has the original manufacturer certificate inside that dates it around 1880.

It's a big chaise lounge chair in great condition.  I had it fully restored about 15 years ago, and that's when I found out about it's history and age.

Where do I start getting this thing sold for some decent money?

Finally had it with my Microsoft Sculpt Ergo keyboard.  Damn thing drains battery randomly.  The keyboard and keypad are separate, so they drain independently.  Worse, they each use a different type of battery.  One doesn't have a battery indicator, and the other has a microscopic red dot buried between and below 2 keys which is only visible if you view it from the right angle.  Worst of all, despite being only a few years old, it has no bluetooth and requires a proprietary dongle (something I had not known at the time).

Replaced it today with a Logitech K860.  Thank god it has bluetooth.  But the typing action is worse than the Microsoft's, and is inflicted with this weird modern where the left Shift key is midget sized and shape of Enter "L" is inverted.

So we remember thee, Microsoft Natural Ergo Pro, the greatest keyboard of all time.  RIP you magnificent bastard.

My Logitech K350 with M705  has been great for years.

Watched this randomly on the plane back from Africa. Maybe because I am old and thought too much or maybe the airplane had something in the air I was highly allergic to.

Slow start but damn it made me reflect on life, giving and what I am leaving behind. Really good movie

Watched last night with the wife.  Had a cool pre-mad men vibe.  I was underwhelmed with the sentiment though.

  7. Sunspots:  One interesting aspect of the Sun is its sunspots.  Sunspots are areas where the magnetic field is about 2,500 times stronger than Earth's, much higher than anywhere else on the Sun.  Because of the strong magnetic field, the magnetic pressure increases while the surrounding atmospheric pressure decreases.  This in turn lowers the temperature relative to its surroundings because the concentrated magnetic field inhibits the flow of hot, new gas from the Sun's interior to the surface.

He is demonstrably incorrect about it being hotter in the 1930s, but he isn't wrong about cycles of heat and cold - the not-nearly-this-hot heat of the 1920's was likely cyclical.

In general, virtually all of the hot and cold years over the last thousand years can be explained with the combination of the solar cycle and volcanic activity.  I say "generally" because this one can (pay attention closely here @Trey3216 ) cannot. We're actually near the bottom of a prolonged low irradiance period. Just wait until the sun wakes up over the next few decades.

We do have a clue what is causing the warming though:

Sunspots are areas that are cooler than the rest of the sun.  If there are fewer sunspots, then the sun is hotter.

Painkiller is good.  Very frustrating, but good.  Sacklers should all be in prison.

I stuck with it for the story, but that is some of the worst acting I have ever seen.  I fast forwarded through most of it.
