I refuse to rehash was what done under the last administration as we have done that for 32 pages. Some of it was right, some of it was wrong, but it is in no way equal to what is going on now. They are taking kids (still), refusing to tell the parents where they are, and in many cases refusing to return the kids. Any opinion other than outrage just sounds ridiculous.

    Translation:

I refuse to hold chicago jesus as culpable for his sins in dealing with illegal kids, but I sure as shit held W accountable for getting us into a stupid war in Iraq over bullshit weapons that had been destroyed or moved to other countries.

You know you did. Don't be disingenuous.

    "Go team blue!"

Be better my man. Be objective.

If Cruz repeated this gibberish during a debate he would be laughed off the stage.

Pick a dollar amount, say it here, open a PayPal account and wager whatever you can afford that Cruz loses to Francis. I'll take that bet, hold my nose, and laugh at you when I cash your check.

Again, I can't stand Cruz..... but I know he'll win.

We are separating kids from the parents and not telling the parents where they are for months on end “because it’s good for them”. The mental gymnastics required to reach this absurd opinion could only caused by today’s political reality of team politics. No free thinking individual could possible come to this conclusion. But hey, go red team!

And this is the part where you look as ignorant as you sound. I've never voted republican in my life. I'm pragmatic and a true constitutionalist. And if you're stupid enough to believe that children were not separated from their parents under the previous administration, then you're willfully ignorant and totally uniformed.

Again, I won't lower myself to verbal insults, but you are clearly "team blue" instead of "team objective". Continue on with your faux outrage and progressive tripe. You're obviously not a free thinker capable of objectivity.

I think he's a lot like Blake Farenthold. In the old days, the "slow" kids were put in group homes, now we elect them.

No my man, what we do now is put the stooopid kids in the same class as the smart kids and hope the "smart" rubs off on the stooopid. What ever would we do if we kept the smart kids in a class where their intelligence could flourish and stand out instead of dumbing them down by slowing up their growth because others can't keep up.

It will be fun watching Cruz try to justify kissing Putin's ass, giving tax cuts to the very rich, tariffs and wanting to destroy Nafta, and last by not least imprisoning children after stealing them from their parents.

Dude, that's played out. It happened under the previous admin. I know the pearl clutching is strong with you and your ilk, and it was wrong to do it under the previous admin, and #whataboutism shouldn't apply. I sat in the corpus airport about to fly out to PHX several years ago when I noticed that 90% of the people waiting to board my 737 to a dallas connection were latino/a kids. I approached the counter and asked the lady what was up. She smiled and said that these were illegal kids being taken to dallas for health purposes.

I smiled back and said "ok" and took my seat.

It made sense to me at the time. Separate kids from adults because who knows what diseases may be spread from adult to child, and child to adult. Then I realized I was on a 737 with kids that "could" be sick with something I may not be immune to. There's no right way to protect these folks. Only degrees of right.

This makes me think Cruz is more worried than we thought

Cruz proposed debates months ago. He's just following through. To not debate would make him look afraid.

I can't stand Cruz but he will steamroll Francis in the two debates that count.... the first one and last one.

Y'all all need to get it through your head.

Fuck them. They left. The SEC asked us on multiple occasions to join them. Time and again, we told them "No".

Fuck them. We offered them a chunk of the Longhorn Network prior to it's conception. They said "Nobody is going to pay you millions for your tv network".

Fuck them. They switch to a conference to be a middle of the road team, just like they were in the Big 12.

Fuck them. They brag about playing in stadiums in Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, and get their shit pushed in time and again.... but...but... it's a packed house and Lawrence can only hold 40,000....

    This is aggy:

"We got a better job, we moved to a bigger house in a nicer subdivision and I actually like my neighbors even when they come over and raid my fridge, drink all my beer, fuck my wife, shit in my toilet and don't flush, and kick my dog on the way out. We love the SEC!!!"

You took a spot in the SEC that was our sloppy seconds. There's a word that describes all this:

    CUCKOLD.

    Fuck them.

Speaking of only caring when there's a mass shooting, has the NRA said anything at all about their association with Maria Butina?

Something is off about her. Not only was she an advocate for gun ownership here in the US, she was also advocating loosening gun laws in Russia.

Well, it does go to show that drug costs aren't solely driven by patents.

If I had to guess, it would be the tremendous market distortions present in healthcare.  I mean, seriously, how do you even determine a price of a drug?  Almost no one pays "retail" for a drug.

I do see that there was a price-fixing suit brought a couple of years ago over insulin prices.  Haven't found any outcome.

I was diagnosed as an asthmatic as a child. Spent time in and out if hospitals until 3rd grade. When Ventolin came along, it was a life saver. I still remember the inhailor price when I was a kid..... $22 dollars.

I got older and with my insurance I could buy it at $12 once the patent expired.

It's $75 without insurance and $35 with it.

    Why??

Not because they changed the drug..... oh no. Simply because they put a little counter on the back side that shows you how many puffs you have left. Any life long asthma sufferer can simply feel the weight of the inhailor and know when it's time for a new one.

    Horse shit deal by them.

Or, and call me crazy here, we could try a system where everyone pays in, everyone is in one big risk pool, and the inefficient 3rd party billing issues don't exist.

Is everyone in for the same amount across the board or do people that make 6 figures and above have to pay for themselves and others?

Back to the issues that polls tell us the American people DO NOT FUCKING CARE ABOUT AT ALL.

The people care about kids in concentration camps. (DNC: "Well, uh... we don't have a position on immigration writ large so...let's avoid that.)

The people care about the fatten-the-rich tax cuts. (DNC: "Capitalism is great and did you see how cool all these billionaires are? Besides, we have fund raisers with them.")

Man BT..... you really fucking hate rich people.

Is it all rich people? Or just those with an R next to their name?

In before "I don't HATE rich people....".

He said the entire program is garbage if he doesn't get anything out of it. He didn't say anything about anyone else getting anything out of it. So if the program helps millions of his fellow Americans but not him then the program is garbage.

Yes that's selfish as fuck and if you agree then you're selfish as fuck, too.

Also, anyone intelligent who is under the age of 45 should have been planning for decades not to get a dime out of Social Security. That's not to say it's guaranteed we don't get anything, but if you've been planning on it then you're an idiot.

To believe that a pyramid scheme would last is Pollyanna at best. And yes, I've begrudgingly paid into that system knowing I would never see a dime. But I'm still entitled to be pissed about it because it was all based on shitty math and population growth calculations that were not sustainable. But hey, I guess I can just shrug it off as another failed government idea.

And now you see, just one of the many reasons why I don't trust the government.

And there it is. Selfishness, the guiding light of the American voter.

So it's selfish to pay into something your entire adult life and to be told that one day you'll get something back?

Only to find out that you won't be getting something back and being pissed about it?

That's your idea of selfish? I'm selfish as fuck then.

  19. She's new and shiny and they are only parading her around in hopes of millinials voting because they are inspired by her. She's not a Democrat, she's a socialist. She has no clue about foreign policy. She grew up in a very upper middle class neighborhood and her background is already being torn apart by fact checkers. "I'm not an expert at foreign policy..." <----- her words.

She fits the mold of "the rich people need to give their money to the poor people". Wealth redistribution is her platform.

Good luck throwing in with her.

In what way was the coming market correction caused by immigration, legal or illegal?

Our default stance should be very easy immigration and any restriction should have to be proven necessary with real, specific arguments.

It's about keeping an eye on economic indicators as it plays out.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ these are your words. You indicate that immigration should be determined by economic indicators.

Translation-- when the economy is good we allow more legal immigration. When it's bad or predicted to be bad, we allow less. Where did you get that immigration is causing a market correction? Where did I imply that? Immigration should not be easy. It should be easier...... but nothing worth having should ever come too easy.

"We cannot put your arm in a cast because the cancer we're treating is a bigger threat!" - the smartest doctors

    - Economic reforms to fight wealth inequality
    - Safe and easy paths to citizenship for non-criminals

    Do both.

It's not about an arbitrary number that politicians or Internet jagoffs would negotiate ahead of time. It's about keeping an eye on economic indicators as it plays out.

And right now economic indicators are that we are approaching a correction in the market and economy (or that's what I'm being told by CNN and NBC business analysts). That would mean, by your own assertions that we would need to begin to curb the amount of immigrants allowed into the country legally, to offset the number coming illegally. So by your rationale, we would have to punish the immigrants trying to come here properly in order to adjust for the illegals coming here because of the economic tea leaves. This is using your metric.

    Surely there's a better solution.
