I'm no more plugged in than last year to the locker room, I keep telling you guys and you aren't listening - this is very very different from last year.
A nugget from spending about an hour with the Burnt Ends last night, they want to set an example. I feel kinda bad for UTSA, because they are going to be the outlet of a lot of frustration at how last weeks result ended up.
I hope so but I'll believe it when I see it. I don't know how many times the last 10+ years we've heard players talk about how the mentality/culture has changed for the better. Players know the right things to say. I don't trust that shit though, show us on the field. Yeah, you showed us something Saturday. Do it again. And again. And again.

I know we all saw it but it needs to be stated again and again: in a game with a Heisman winning QB playing for the #1 ranked team in the country, the better QB was a freshman starting his second game.

A commitment from a freshman from Hereford, Tx. Didn’t think I’d see that.

Dude, King was absolutely ranked as a 5 star by at least one service, if not the composite, the summer before his senior year. He plummeted like a rock during his senior year, but it was a mindblowing thing to watch on the recruiting side when he was being lauded due to some stupid fucking camp.
At least he had the stones to go to the frickin camps, unlike Arch /aggy

Why argue? You fuckers have been making those jokes for years. My mom would appreciate it if you all at least proofread your godamned posts.
Not surprising she's a grammar nazi. Written word was always going to be her primary form of communication with there always being a dick in her mouth.

I kid you not, the only aggy at my job is by far the guy everyone tries to avoid because he’s a know it all, and gives off pedo vibes.

I never need a full length porno to finish the job... same applies to this Quinn footage.
The second video (3rd and short to J-Whitt) floored me in person. You could see him wanting to go to the deep post over the top but seeing him 1) recognize it was covered and 2) with a collapsing pocket, stand tall and throw that dime with touch... man. That shit doesn't happen by accident... kid seems special.

Thought it was interesting that the spread crept back up to Texas -12.5 today after being -11/11.5 yesterday.
It's because the sharp money (me) got in on the action

Quinn has 1 46 yd. deep ball and missed a bunch. Card has 1 42 yarder thrown perfect. Accuracy is not his issue, a slow trigger may be.
Thanks for this. Post less. Card was 17th of 17 Big 12 QB's on deep ball accuracy ((completions + drops) / attempts) last season.

I don’t like your Tulane and KSU over bet.
I have no opinion on Purdue or Buffalo O/U’s.
I like your other 3 bets.Another buddy of mine didn't like the Tulane/KSU over either so maybe I'm whiffing. But my thought process:
- Tulane's new OC, Jim Svoboda, was HC at D2 Central Missouri but was very involved with their offense that was routinely a top 10 offense and pass heavy. He's going to play up tempo.
- Tulane has something like top 10-15 returning production on offensive side of ball. They were mediocre last year but I think they can put up 17-24 points and keep the game moving.
- FWIW- Tulane games hit this over 8/11 times last season. K-State hit 7/12 times.
- K-State bottom 30 in returning production on defense, granted they do return a lot of snaps from secondary. They did stifle Mizzou's offense last week on back of 4 interceptions. I'm of opinion that Mizzou QB room is complete ass though.
- Tulane defense is ass. They lost several players from a unit that was not good last year (99th in points/play, 91st in yards/play). Adrian Martinez has been ass but this is a great opportunity for him to bounce back. Even if he's just a game manager, Deuce should run loose this game.
Yeah, I don't know. I think I'm just hoping Tulane offense can put up enough quick points to make it look something closer to a shootout than how K-State likes to play. Cause Tulane isn't stopping K-State offense.

- Texas -11 vs UTSA

How can Nevada +23 at Iowa be a bad bet? The Hawkeyes could shut out the Wolf Pack and not cover.
Yep, I'm on it. Nevada roster got gutted this offseason but I'm not sure it matters.
Iowa offense trended down at end of last season and has been abysmal to start this year. In last 6 games: 5 offensive TD's, 11 turnovers.
Sure, they could put it together against Nevada but I don't know how you pick that side of the bet given how shitty they have been.

All of this hand-wringing is embarrassing and pointless.
That’s kinda our MO around here.
Agree with rest of your post though. We should have the dudes to impose our will on the ground. Get the ball to our superior athletes in space with quick easy throws and let them do their thing.
Really need a strong follow up performance from the defense though. Don’t let this respectable, well coached UTSA team start to believe they have a chance.

Either way, still significant and nice to let our nuts hang. Unranked and we still break eyeball records. Pay attention recruits.

Dumb question for the unit betters. Does your unit size reset every week based off your new bankroll amount or do you keep the unit constant throughout a season? Or is that how you even think about it?
Admittedly, my bankroll management is non-existent to shit. Typically throw in a couple hundred dollars to start the season (hopefully get a free play match) and then just bet $25/game. Not uncommon for me to risk well over half my bankroll in a given week, just spread out across maybe 10-15 picks. Well aware this isn't the way to a sustainable career betting, I just wouldn't feel as alive if I were only betting $5/game haha.
