  1. It might just be too hard for some of these guys, who are so driven in their passion, to just stop.

Sixty-six years is starting to get there as the time to start thinking about retiring.

My dad retired from the hospital at 65-years old. And he loved retirement. Perhaps Newey can’t unwind.

  2. All those old-time Knicks in the building for that game too. Crazy scene. MSG is the best venue I have ever been to for basketball. Would have been awesome to be there for that game.

Yep if you call a niggle as a Pk on one end, you have to call a wrap up like that as a PK.

If the first wasn’t a PK, then I woulda said the 2nd shouldn’t be called either.

In the end, that’s exactly what Madrid wanted leaving Munich and headed back home next week.

I wasn’t saying it shouldn’t have been called. I said “shitty” because it hurt Bayern. I think it was the arm around the midsection that made sure it had to be called. Just can’t do that.

  4. @Pam Cummings I think what gets most people so upset in the inconsistency. One referee sees the same thing the opposite the way another ref sees it. That seems to be in college as well, and even to high school.

At the Pitt games this year our group always jokes about how the refs should come and call the game from our corner seats because, obviously, people see the game so much better 20 rows off the floor than the refs see things.

  5. I didn't watch the game between the Lakers and Nuggets but, I did look at the stats. Lakers shot 35 3s to the Nuggets 38. The Lakers were 18/27 from the FT line and Denver made 8/9.

The Lakers were called for 12 fouls to Denver's 16.

Were the Lakers non-3 shots all drives to the hoop? Points in the paint had LA with 52 and Denver with 46.
