Minnesota Star-Tribune rolling coverage of the suspect. Interesting text sent to his "housemates," which itself is not well explained.
5:35 p.m. - Vance Boelter texted roommates that he was “going to be gone for a while” and “may be dead shortly,” according to one of his housemates in North Minneapolis who read the message aloud to reporters. Boelter reached out to roommates David Carlson and Ron Ramsey.
“David and Ron, I love you guys. I made some choices, and you guys don’t know anything about this, but I’m going to be gone for a while. May be dead shortly, so I just want to let you know I love you guys both and I wish it hadn’t gone this way. I don’t want to say anything more and implicate you in any way because you guys don’t know anything about this. But I love you guys and I’m sorry for all the trouble this has caused.”

I'll bet you a dollar that you can't guess which powerhouse program Buckyball has scheduled a daring non-conf series against...
SpoilerBucky McMillan is showing fans that he's NCAA Tournament-minded with the news that came down today of his scheduling a series against the Florida State Seminoles. Though FSU has had some rough patches, they're still a premier name that has put several big time players into the NBA over the last few years, such as Jonathan Isaac, Scottie Barnes, and Terance Mann.
A perennial complaint against Buzz Williams during his time in College Station was a lack of premier non-conference games. This lessened quite a bit by Buzz's last two years, but the poor strength of schedule for the Aggies was always an albatross when it came time to compare resumes.
This is a step in the right direction on that front for the Ags. This game will take place on Black Friday, according to a report by Jon Rothstein, which will no doubt put it only hours before the Aggies' football game against Texas later that day.Texas A&M basketball schedules series against Florida State Seminoles
FSU finished out last year ranked 90th in the NET— so if that's where they are come next year, it should be a game that will look good as a win for the Aggies should that be the outcome, but not too terrible of a loss for a tournament team if things go the other way.
Of course, that's assuming that "tournament team" is the realistic goal to which this squad is aspiring. With the way that McMillan has put the personnel together here, this could be a team that challenges for a dark-horse conference championship run. That's far off, and we still more than anything need to see how the team gels. As of right now, though, they will have an early-season spot on their schedule to impress fans, who will no doubt be waiting around for the final regular-season football game of the year.
They haven't made the Tournament since 2021.

I'm starting to get really worried if aggy has the answer to our machinations!
QuoteNews broke today that Jamarion Carlton, one of the top players in the state of Texas at the defensive end position, would no longer be taking an official visit to Texas A&M. He had been scheduled to show up in College Station this weekend along with another star-studded list of recruits, but he will apparently no longer be making the trek down from Temple.
This comes on the heels of an official visit to Texas this past weekend. Of course, amid rumors of some of the recruiting staffs around the country not only paying players to visit their campus but also paying them to not visit rivals, news of this type shouldn't be surprising in general.
It should be pretty clear that the massive momentum that the Aggies have in the recruiting world at the moment is not exactly something that the Longhorns are comfortable with. The Ags are far ahead of Texas' class in the rankings, and have a class nearly entirely made up of blue-chippers, while Texas' average rating sags far below.Though this seems like a victory for Texas, and it certainly will be if Carlton ends up committing to them as now looks likely, the Aggies are still one step ahead of the Longhorns.
Texas A&M still in prime position for several top DEs after Carlton cancels visit
There's been a lot of buzz ever since last weekend about Alabama DE Tank Jones, a five-star prospect who was on campus for the Aggies a few days ago, and the move that A&M made for him. Not only him, but another five-star in Bryce Perry-Wright could end up choosing the Aggies when commitment day comes.
That's not even to mention the high-level DE Tristian Givens who has been giving A&M a hard look for some time, as Jaxson Callaway reports:
If the Aggies can land two of those three, they'll be fine— and given the shape they're in overall in these recruitments, I wouldn't bet against that prospect.-

Every year I’m reminded how much I hate what they did to this stadium. I loathe this round generic far-away design.
My daughter and I used to joke that the only thing unique about the stadium is that stupid little green neon light that runs along the roof.

Who's doing color with Vasgersian tonight? He just said it was a 100-yd throw from Bellinger to the cutoff man, then a 150-yd throw to 3B. 750' is pretty fucking long, even for Kauffman.

I'll never get over HSE going away. Got to follow the New Jersey Devils' magical run to the 1988 ECF, and then boom, it's gone like a fart in the wind.
