Swap Peacock for Miley... If he's healthy
We will expand the bullpen by 1 arm for the ALCS, and that position is certainly Peacock's if he is ready. I think Miley will then stay as the only leftie and a guy that can burn innings if we need to.

Yeah, the guy at the PP boutique laughed at me when I asked how long the wait list is for the blue Nautilus (5711).
I tried both in London (7 years) and Houston (3 years) and just gave up and bought the VC Overseas.

I hate Trump as much as most of you, but that is the song that Rivera used to come out to so it's not so crazy...

While I have been singing the praises of the VC Overseas, I have now become very frustrated with it. It was purchased Oct 1 last year, and I just today sent it back in for its second service for the same issue. The minute hand keeps getting stuck at 11:43am and won't budge off of it. Fortunately the VC Boutique has been accommodating. They want to look at it closely this time and see if it's just a minor fix or if the entire movement has to be replaced. And they did confirm that if they repair it and it happens again, they will replace the watch or movement.

I wouldn't try to squeeze in Thailand and Vietnam in the same trip. Pick one and go with it. You can always go back and see the one you miss another time. I have done both, and slightly preferred Vietnam. Maybe that's because it was the most recent (last year vs. Thailand in 2015).
If you are looking for the city/food/drinking scene, you can't beat the Hanoi to Hue/Hoi An/Danang to Saigon route. That's what we did and loved it. You can see some of my comments and pics on previous pages of this thread.

also, remember, ordering more isn't that hard or expensive. as soon as we need 12 more of either color, i can get it done.
I’d do two of each if you can get the numbers

Assuming you're in Austin, there aren't a lot of options at the moment. I had to transfer my off-site storage last year and at the time pricing was $229/month for 900 bottle storage at Vault 55; $4200/yr for 80 case storage at Vine Vault, and something in between for a much larger storage space with significantly more restrictions at the old Red Room space downtown, which is where I ended up. In NY, I have open storage which is $5 per case per month with everything being managed by the cellar service.
Texas is incredibly expensive, presumably because of the costs to cool. I’ve paid between $600-$750 per month at two different locations to store around 1200 bottles. For my collection in London, its about $15 per case ANNUALLY.

I’ve been interested in getting one of the Eurocave models, probably something like this:
https://www.wineenthusiast.com/eurocave-premiere-m-wine-cellar?quantity=1&doorstyle=9
My only hesitation is that there is nowhere locally (DFW) to look at one in person so I have to rely on online specs, descriptions, and reviews. In fairness, that’s true for most other brands as well.
How do you like yours?Love it. Had it for about 10 years now and never had an issue. Will be moving back to London in a few months so will have to sell this one and do something different over there.

I’m a little surprised about Straw. With 2 off days next week, I figured they would go with 12 pitchers until Pressly came back.Probably helps him to get the ABs and playing time in AAA over the next several weeks to be ready for September/October.

i have to think that was some sort of jittery outlier, right? he's never been that bad, but that was horrid.
I think so. He has had 5 past balls this year and 13 last year.

Yes. His bat is significantly worse than RC. It isn’t close. And he didn’t impress me one bit behind the plate outside of throwing, which is way down the list of importance for a catcher in 2019. Framing and blocking balls in the dirt are way more important. From what I saw from Maldonado, Rod Babers’ Dad clearly fucked his mother because he couldn’t catch shit/had stone hands.
We are set with our bats. In the playoffs last year, both the Indians and Sox came in averaging over 1 SB per game. And we gave up none with Maldonado behind the plate.

I had the flu last winter and took down about a week's worth of episodes. Some observations:
- Jerry Stiller just kills it. Full Frank Constanza and he appears in every episode. No Seinfeld every once every 10 episodes stuff.
- Patton Oswalt is really funny. Second best performance behind Constable Bob.
- Victor Williams as Deacon is a good straight man to whatever Kevin James is trying to do.
- Leah Remini. Man alive, her weight swings around like a roller coaster. 10 one season. Fat in another season. Perplexing sexual chemistry with Kevin James throughout.
- Lou Ferringo is great as the neighbor.
- Nicole Sullivan was pretty good on MAD TV She's good on Kings of Queens too as Jerry Stiller's walker/caretaker.
- Gary Valentine is pretty good as the worthless cousin. Funny chemistry with Patton Oswalt.
- Rachel Dratch is peak weirdo/Debbie Downer.
- Kevin James is probably the worst part of the show, but he's predictable. Usually doing something stupid/fat and getting scolded by Leah Remini.
I would recommend this show to the unemployed, bed ridden, and retirees.
It's a great guilty pleasure - love this show. Now my favorite comedies, in no particular order, are Cheers, It's Always Sunny and Arrested Development. But there's something about King of Queens that always sucks me in.

Why would the Astros want to bring back Maldonado? Stassi is not good offensively but Chirinos has been very serviceable.
Machete is a big upgrade defensively. He's got a gun and teams (Yankees/Sox) are less likely to run on him. His bat isn't significantly worse than RCs, although Chirinos has perked up the last week.

Was the bat that Rondon had to dodge thrown by Ravelo, or did it just slip?
Definitely slipped. He was chasing a pitch well out of the zone and it just came out.

I think a LOT of people inside the beltway treat this presidency as a one-off -- a blip on the political radar. That applies to pols and to journalists. This presidency will be over in 1.5 years, and things will return to normal. I don't want to be that guy/girl who goes a bridge too far in his/her rhetoric.
I plan to move up the ladder at CNN/MSNBC/CBS/ABC or within Senate/House leadership. If I seem a little off the rails, I may find myself characterized as a fringe nutjob who's not real reliable. I won't get that anchor job or sit as chairman on that committee. Younger journalists/pols will take my place if they show they're willing to toe the line.

Agree with this. Was annoyed Tuve didn't lay down the bunt, to either move Springer into scoring position or possibly beat out the play.

So private dinner Thursday night in Aspen with some customers was a nice treat . More great wine. The theme was Wines That Inspired You and was hosted by Charles Bieler and Joel Gott. Joel also brought a few wines from his cellar. Mezcal was for dessert.
That Trevallon was whole cluster Cab with Syrah and big. The Insignia was classic old school Napa Cab.
Yesterday was Fried Chicken and Champagne lunch.
About the Building Blocks Cab: Story is that Joey Wagner volunteered to chair the charity event for his kids school. Then the next day realized he made a mistake. So he called Dave Phinney and Joel Gott (their kids go to same school ) and tried to rope them into helping. After a couple of weeks of floundering to get things going, they agreed to hire an Event Coordinator to handle it. She knocked it out of the park and they decided to do something fun for the auction. So they bottled 10 case of 2010 mags of Building Blocks Cab, which is 1/3 Caymus Special Select, 1/3 Pappillion, and 1/3 Gott Napa Cab.How was the Trevallon? I load up on that in London for about $25-$35 per bottle (have several cases stored there) but just saw it in Houston for $75/bottle. It, and Mas de Daumas Gassac have always been amazing at that price point.

Clay Helton had a split lip and black eye in the fourth quarter. He didn’t have that in the first half. Some shit went down in the locker room.
My SC wife gladly pointed that out to me.
