  1. I'm in a similar situation but looking at an MDX or 4Runner. Does anyone have experience with places like Carvana or Vroom? The latter is interesting as they will deliver the vehicle to you and you have 7 days to try it and return if you don't like it.
I really hate the dealership experience.
The former has the same guarantee
  2. Preowned but the only problem is that I haven't found a good private option online for a 2016-18 Toyota Avalon sub 20K miles (what we're looking at).   I did consider the Carvana option but there hasn't been a spectacular deal there either.  My problem is, what is "reasonable"?  Asking for 5%, 10, 15?  Also, is asking for an "invoice" only for brand new vehicles?

  3. As you probably already saw, I'm selling a car and, practically, need to buy another.  I'm using the strategy of trying to contact them online and negotiate a price.  Holy hell is that even a beating.  So far, I've run across a half dozen or more of the dealers "fluffing up" the trim level to make it look like a great price and only when you try to do your due diligence do you find out it's at a lower trim level, but for the same price.  What are your go-to methods in dealing with these fuckheads?  How else do you perform your due diligence on the car other than KBB, Edmunds, CarFax, etc?

  4. Tomorrow, it’s likely that I will be finalizing the sale of my wife’s vehicle.  What documents should I have prepared for the buyer to sign?  The buyer is a late 20s slacker whose dad has done most of the interaction, negotiation, etc.  The dad wrote me a deposit ($1K check) that has cleared the bank but he said his son still needs to line up the financing for the remaining $9K.  Do any of you see any issues or red flags with this?  I’ve done some due diligence with the name and address stamped on the check and everything matched on Dallas CAD.  And, FWIW, his wife’s FB has him and his very white family in it…so there’s that.

How's it look? The reviews on Lowe's were no bueno, but for $2/bag I'm going to give it a go.

I used to buy this every year when it when on sale. The quality of it is shit, giant pieces of branches throughout all bags.  I finally decided to spend another $2/bag and get the finely shredded stuff that the Boy Scouts deliver to your door.  Well worth the extra cash with delivery included, all while supporting some hardworking young men

someone posted on shaggy that costco had exo packs for cheap. went to look but didn't have my size. anyway, did see they had their kirkland brand of 92% cotton, 8% elastane. was intrigued but again, not right size. anyone bought those? i'll see if i can find my other post on it from last board but meh, lazy.

I've bought about 3 packs of the Kirkland brand and actually love them.  Breathable and the elastic hasn't been blown out yet (about 9 months in)

You got a no for the Toro, but I have a 22" recycler and it's performed magnificently.  It's a good mower, actually a great one.  You can't go wrong with either, but I'm very happy with mine, going on about 6 years now.  B&S 7.25 HP does the trick.  Easy cleanout with strapping a hose on the fixture and running the mower.

Would get a Toro again, absolutely.

Have you noticed any issue with the [rear] wheels?  In reading reviews, it has been a consistent problem with them falling off.  Not after a few years but, rather, after a mow or two.  Sounds like there might be some design flaw.
