I like Sputnik and its various other versions.  It's probably the only ABW beer I really like.  But I like Zilker's Coffee Milk Stout substantially more.

I’ve enjoyed many of their Blood Orange IPA.

St Elmo isn’t that close to live oak. But if you are going to st Elmo go to skull mechanix. Southern heights and might as well do oddwood.

Been to Oddwood and really liked it. Might get a couple growlers from there for the lake this weekend.

I like Zilker a lot, and the location is close to other cool bars and restaurants.  Of course if you live nearby then you already know that.

Overall Live Oak is my favorite brewery in Austin by a large margin, but I'm a notorious lover of European beer styles and that's the main reason why.  Their outdoor biergarten space is great, but won't be particularly cool and welcoming in August, obviously. They do have a decent-sized indoor space for the taproom as well, though.

I probably agree with you about Live Oak. For what they do, they do better than most German breweries. They have really perfected their beers and I lived in Germany on several different occasions and locales.

I'm biased but I definitely think you should hit up Live Oak.  Other good places are Pinthouse Pizza, Austin Beer Garden Brewing, and Zilker.

I've been to Pinthouse several times and ABGB. I haven't been to Zilker yet and it's really close to me.

Al_4_isu you’re probably the only one that can help me with Iowa recs. I’ll be in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City then Manchester areas. Is there anything there worth checking out or looking for?

    Isn't Toppling Goliath around there?

I think the disgusting cut off your dick and balls and stuff them down your throat while they peel the skin off your face and work you over with a blow torch before liquefying your body in a vat of acid is the more recent behavior of mexicans.  I thought the colombians back in the day just shot you and put you in a ditch.

now, I could be very wrong about all of that.

    I wouldn’t google Colombian necktie.

  7. Derp, concentration camps are only a part of the Holocaust and mentioning them in any other context demeans the victims of the Holocaust derp derp derp. God, being a historian in today's climate is excruciating. Non-book readers having the platform they have is nauseating.

The kneejerking to call this a bad deal is wild.     It's way too early to make that call.   Right now LA got BY FAR the best piece in the trade.  People saying anything more are either wildly speculating or just hoping that it blows up on the Lakers.   Picks mean nothing without knowing where they will fall and how the team that has them can evaluate talent.

Take this trade somewhat similar trade:

November 17, 1994: Traded by the Golden State Warriors to the Washington Bullets for Tom Gugliotta, a 1996 1st round draft pick (Todd Fuller was later selected), a 1998 1st round draft pick (Vince Carter was later selected) and a 2000 1st round draft pick (Chris Mihm was later selected).

GSW got a player who was a borderline AS at the time and 3 firsts.   They basically ended up with Antawn Jamison out of the deal.

The known quantity is the winner of the trade.  AD is a known quantity.  The thought that the Lakers will fall off the face of the Earth when LBJ retires is silly.

We haven even hit free agency yet. The instant reactions to everything is hilarious.

  9. Is the Switch going to come down in price? I'm really thinking of getting one cause I'm kind of sick of XBox games not named GTA 6 and want to play Zelda, Mario Kart and Odyssey.
