  1. Looks like the grass eater and KU have reached a deal. I wonder what our offense possibly will be under him but whatever it's gotta be better than the last three losers right? If Bill Snyder retires after this year KU has some hope to build at least a mediocre to average program. Maybe.

Garmin Fenix 3. It's a multisport watch and works great for the type of running training I'm doing. I highly recommend the Garmin Forerunners if you're looking for just running.

Cool, yea I was looking at Forerunner 235 and 465. Thanks for the rec.

  3. The wife and I are staying in Austin, eating at the Driskell, drinking loads of beer and bourbon and watching football and basketball tournaments. Hell, maybe I'll sit in line at Franklin as well. Fuck driving 12-15 hours for inevitable family drama and sisters who never ever stfu when it comes to their Trumpian politics while the "reward" is eating shitty unseasoned food. My dogs will eat better than them that weekend.

That’s fucking disgusting.   That doesn't represent the GOP.  Unfortunately you can’t pick your followers the same way you can’t pick your family.

Put "That doesn't represent the GOP" on y'alls tombstones.

  5. As a WWI junkie I am always on the lookout for interesting new reads, especially on the still way under-researched Eastern Front, and I came across this one that was recently published. It's based on the diary of a Jewish doctor in the Austro-Hungarian Empire's army in Ukraine. Really good and descriptive so far. I for some reason had no idea so many Jews were both killed and displaced during WWI in the East.

  6. Oh, and before that I had a roommate who was premed and actually ended up going to U of Minnesota for a joint PhD/MD program. Well he never left his room, kept a pile of recycling for months before taking to the recycling plant, and his alarm went off anytime day or night so he had the most insane sleep schedule ever. Kind of like Kramer's on Seinfeld when he's trying to be like Da Vinci. My friend from the Marines who came and stayed a weekend called him BTK lol. I remember walking back from campus and he just stared straight ahead rather than saying hi or even acknowledging that his roommate was passing by him.
