The twins did themselves no favors on their navigation on the final leg.  I was hoping they would pull it out.  Congrats to Derek and Claire.

Ironic that they were the smartest team out there, but lost due to foolish mistakes instead of that knee.  I thought for sure they had no chance going in, because usually the last leg includes a good bit of running.

Overall, as someone mentioned, a pretty forgetable season.

Ethan flat out sucks. He’s terrible at communicating with Harper and everyone else. She told him she doesn’t think he’s attracted to her anymore and he did nothing to reassure her, only eventually giving out an obligatory “I love you” without the slightest bit of affection or intimacy. She’s begging for affection or reassurance and he doesn’t know how to give it.

Don't disagree that Ethan sucks. but Harper is a flat out cunt.  I wouldn't live with her unless she had Ethan's money.

  3. Daughter said they let the kids watch part of the game in her grade school.  Son said same about his high school, and that at lunch break, every table had a group watching the game on a laptop.  Pretty, pretty cool.

Yeah just came to post that. Bob Paycheck got the boot which is good. The parks are becoming a problem with lack of maintenance, not enough cast members, rising prices for what little you're getting, and pissing on existing passholders. The guy was asking for it.

Saw an article on Daily Mail about how the wait times have increased substantially compared to pre-covid.  Not uncommon now for a two hour wait for Rise of the Resistance in CA.

Wife and kids have an annual pass (I declined to renew mine).  They went yesterday to Disney, got a total of two middle tier rides in over a five hour stay.  Went to CA tonight.  Just texted me that they waited 80 minutes for Soaring when app said 45.

Employees are getting more surly, the whole experience is losing value.  These things take a while to germinate, but Disney best get their shit together, or the wrath of the consumer will come.

I'm sure this will age well. That game yesterday says way more about Josh McDaniels and the Raiders than it does about Faturday.

But i will admit. I found it hilarious that Bill Cowher had some big long holier-than-thou speech about Jeff Saturday cutting to the front of the coaching line. I'm sure there are a lot of people that go to school and study hard and get media degrees that have far more experience than he does in that field, just for him to cut to the front too. I felt that the talking head media in general exhibited zero self awareness when discussing this issue.

I never watch NFL pregame shows, but the German game ended and I turned on CBS for a minute, and was just timed perfectly to catch this.  It was such contrived and obviously rehearsed bullshit.  Dude was nervous as hell, constantly checking his notes to get the names of the "overlooked" assistants right, all while trying to maintain this passionate, "impromptu" take down of the Colts.  And then the rest of the crew acting like Bill just couldn't hold himself back, he was so upset.  Fucking pathetic

Hope so. I'm getting 2019 and 2021 vibes with the darling, underdog-hot NL team, but I'm a pessimist. Thankfully these players aren't.

I believe the four days off are really going to impact Philly in a negative way.  Realize the Astros face the same thing, but have that playoff/WS experience to handle it better.

leak was in full hi def.

i watched it and it was straight fire.  pilot episode and s1e10 -- they know how to bookend the show.

Not sure what you are talking about.  That shit was lame as hell.  Especially for a 200M or whatever the budget on this was.  The story was pathetic

Most comedies lose a lot of their humor after 4-8 seasons, but this show just keeps keeping on. The writing is top notch, and they do a great job introducing new characters every season. Season 10 with the spite store coffee shop is one of my favorite seasons of the show. I liked it so much I even bought a Latte Larry's coffee mug complete with a "No Defecating" sign on it.

Been watching a lot of Seinfeld episodes lately, as it's on so often.  Noticed a definite drop off in writing quality after Larry left.

Also, i've realized more how brilliant the Kramer and George actors were, and not far behind Elaine.

Phil’s an Executive Producer. You know he wanted to scream at the daughter, “Do you know how many fucking people try out for this show?” Probst has kinda done it on Survivor, a “fuck you” to quitters.

Yeah, he looked pissed at the pit stop.  That girl is awful.

Puling for the brothers first, twins second.

    That’s where it lost me… “oh…okay…”

Guess they needed an out to get some blood and guts in episode 1.

Maybe I read too much into it, but I surmised that it was the king's absence that allowed the violence to escalate.

  11. There are a million paths to redemption.  Going to Fed prison until the end of your days to gain the respect of the woman you love is not an optimal one.

I'd have preferred they ended the series with a drone shot of Saul executing a drive down the fairway of the course on that cush prison he negotiated, and we can let our imaginations decide what became of him after his seven years were up.

One of my favorite books. Probably read it 10 times. The movie is a different story. At least 100 times.

Way back in the '80s, I worked as a night computer operator, alone in the building with lots of down time on my hands.  I found this book, and was mesmerized by the technology he was describing on those subs, had no idea of the capabilities of these things. Couldn't put it down.

Movie came out and I was initially disappointed.  Upon several rewatches though have come to appreciate it for a great movie.

    Exactly

No announcement should've been made without his review, input, or approval. How does that happen? Communication breakdown or UCLA broke protocol. Or maybe Cal went full aggy after the fact?

A spokesperson for the UC Office of the President told the Hotline that the regents have no authority to prevent UCLA’s move:

“There is no requirement for a decision from the University of California Board of Regents or the Office of the President.”

Simple as that.  Why would they inform or involve the political fuck.
