They do have a nice campus.
It was a lot cooler place to hang out when hittin' the clubs/bars in Juarez was still a relatively safe thing to do. Especially at 2 am when it was last call and you weren't ready to go home.
Yeah the campus is pretty sweet. Too bad about Juarez. Last time I went they were setting tire factories or some shit on fire over there and it looked like El Paso was fucked.

I was dismayed to learn this weekend about a Tesla employee who had conducted quite extensive and damaging sabotage to our operations. This included making direct code changes to the Tesla Manufacturing Operating System under false usernames and exporting large amounts of highly sensitive Tesla data to unknown third parties.
The full extent of his actions are not yet clear, but what he has admitted to so far is pretty bad. His stated motivation is that he wanted a promotion that he did not receive. In light of these actions, not promoting him was definitely the right move.
However, there may be considerably more to this situation than meets the eye, so the investigation will continue in depth this week. We need to figure out if he was acting alone or with others at Tesla and if he was working with any outside organizations.
As you know, there are a long list of organizations that want Tesla to die. These include Wall Street short-sellers, who have already lost billions of dollars and stand to lose a lot more. Then there are the oil & gas companies, the wealthiest industry in the world — they don't love the idea of Tesla advancing the progress of solar power & electric cars. Don't want to blow your mind, but rumor has it that those companies are sometimes not super nice. Then there are the multitude of big gas/diesel car company competitors. If they're willing to cheat so much about emissions, maybe they're willing to cheat in other ways?
Most of the time, when there is theft of goods, leaking of confidential information, dereliction of duty or outright sabotage, the reason really is something simple like wanting to get back at someone within the company or at the company as a whole. Occasionally, it is much more serious.
Please be extremely vigilant, particularly over the next few weeks as we ramp up the production rate to 5k/week. This is when outside forces have the strongest motivation to stop us.
If you know of, see or suspect anything suspicious, please send a note to with as much info as possible. This can be done in your name, which will be kept confidential, or completely anonymously.
Looking forward to having a great week with you as we charge up the super exciting ramp to 5000 Model 3 cars per week!
Will follow this up with emails every few days describing the progress and challenges of the Model 3 ramp.
Thanks for working so hard to make Tesla successful,

Looks like GTAV in an alternate future stuck in the 80s.
But seriously I like how it's turning out and the witcher guys seem to be able to make some pretty good games.

Our neighborhood pool opened yesterday for the summer.
Once again, as in the past, regular visitors aren’t allowed in until noon. Opening at noon to the general public is a good way to depress the numbers if you want to shut down neighborhood pools.
Throw those doors open at 8am or 9am and a ton of people will have their kids there.
Noon? Many parents who would take their kids to the pool at 8 or 9 have already had their kids at the park, etc. and are not up for going back. Kids are eating or napping, it’s getting hot and sunny, and many parents don’t want to deal with sunscreen.

I went to the community lap pool today to swim laps, apparently they didn't get the memo that lap pools should be kept cold. It was probably 90 degrees at 7 in the morning.

Apparently Till went temporarily blind during his weight cut. We've got fighters missing weight more and more often now. This is going in a bad direction.
More weight classes?
Maybe they force a schedule on the fighters to get them in the range a bit more early so it's not insane weight cuts going on.
It's also dangerous because when you dehydrate yourself a ton the brain has more of a chance of getting concussed. It takes like 3 days to re hydrate the brain.

My Nextdoor is awash with people bitching about the apparent wave of recent car break-ins and they're discussing shit like neighborhood patrols, setting up meetings with the city, etc.
Finally it starts to come out in all of this ranting that these stupid fucking idiots are parking their cars in their driveways and on the street and habitually forgetting to lock their doors. So none of these are smash and grabs. They're purely crimes of opportunity because these dumb fucks can't remember to lock their doors and they're leaving purses, bags, electronics, etc in plain sight in their cars.
They did not take kindly to the suggestion that maybe cleaning out their shithole garages and parking in there, or ... locking your fucking car doors would be a much simpler solution than arming up and and playing George Zimmerman around the neighborhood.
Yeah this is true but I don't want some fuckface meth head checking my car door anyway. Sure, lock the doors, but also when dipshits are looking in my truckbed or checking my doors I want to make sure they eat pavement ASAP.

Also these places are awesome. Pho 20 sounds cool if you pronounce Pho wrong but that place sucks compared to Pho Tai.

I live here. AMA. We recently had some nice water in Galveston during Memorial day it got everyone in the state riled up. A friend in Dallas asked me if I had ever seen it like that lol. I've only lived in Galveston, other than about 7 years in Austin so I've seen all kinds of different water conditions. Mullet (sharks), seaweed (dead fish smell), red tide (red eyes), big waves (fun hurricane surf), no waves (bacteria) and everything between. A couple of years ago they did the sand replenishment from the East end to 61st street, prior to that they did 61st street going West to the end of the seawall. It's kind of nice to have more beach but temporarily changed all the good surf spots. 61st is best on a high, incoming tide. PP is best on a lower, outgoing tide or crazy current/wind conditions. 37th still isn't working.
MOD Coffee shop is great, food and coffee is good. The view is better.
I eat Mexican food alot - Taquilos is awesome. For a more authentic experience go to Gorditas. For breakfast go to Bronco Burrito. For seafood I like Millers. For BBQ I like Smooth Tony's or Queens. Star Drug store and Sunflower Bakery have good sandwiches. I used to like Stuttgarden for german beers and food but their food somehow started sucking recently. It was never as good as Scholz Garten.
Friday and Saturday night start at Float then go to Yagas if you want to go out. Buckshot Saloon is cool too sometimes, but the construction right out side has kept it kind of empty. Old farts should go to Galveston Brewery. Brick House is a decent sports bar. O Mallys or Island Pier club for little dive bars.
Avoid pleasure pier like the plague.

Yeah all the criminals keep a low profile and pass through el Paso because it's very well policed. Very chill, but literally a no-go zone within a stones throw away in Juarez. Roofs on buildings we work on there regularly have bullet holes in them.
