  1. My wife asked me the other day what I have spent on Bourbon the last year and I got curious...worked out an excel spreadsheet and I've got 29 different Bourbons for a total of 54 bottles I've bought over the last year.   Total of $2400.   Told my wife $500.

what bed cover is that?  In the market for my '13 Silverado

  3. Al Biernat's is still the best I've had in Dallas. Agree with Capital Grille being a close 2nd. It's a shame what Bob's has become over the years.  Used to be so damn good.

  4. Dumb Question Amnesty
Anyone ever bought a bottle on the secondary market? Bottle Spot?

I just can’t bring myself to do it yet. Hunting bottles at retail is a lot of fun for me.
Only ones I think I’d be willing to do secondary on are WLW or ER17. And right now I like money too much to pull the trigger on those.
  5. It’s not an OF, but I figured this had kind of morphed into the bourbon cocktail thread.
Manhattan made with Col. Taylor Straight Rye, Antica Torino vermouth and a luxardo cherry.
    Cheers you surly ass fucks!

I think I've asked this before and got an answer but it's escaping me now. Does anyone remember an indoor water slide place. I think it was in Oak Cliff but I'm not sure.

I'll of course pour one out for the GOAT. A 70mm THX screening was always a revelation.

God that was such a great place to see a movie.  So many memories.

There was an indoor water slide at NorthTown Mall at Webb Chapel and 635 for a bit in the 80's.

My wife has the entire movie memorized.  We were in Munich for Oktoberfest and had a couple channels at the hotel.  One was showing The Rock, dubbed in German.  She translated it for a good 20 minutes with decent accents. Was fantastic.

That's awesome.  On our honeymoon in Munich we caught Independence Day at the hotel in German.  That was funny!

Awesome man.  I'm jealous you're putting one down right now.

Liked it so much I just put a bottle of Pikesville Rye and 375 ml of Antica Torino with about 10 dashes of bitters in my 2 ltr oak barrel and gonna let it sit for a month .  Had one at restaurant tonight that was barrel aged and it was great.
