  2. ESPN said this was Japans B team. Im dreaming that the US puts players out there who can adjust in a game or am i dreaming that the coach gets hit by a bus and the stand in readjusts the team based on the talent available and actually tried to win.

    Good roster to watch.

I like these additions and hope the games can be seen.

Defender Johnathan Gomez is the lone player receiving his first U-20 MYNT call-up. Gomez, as well as defender Justin Che, midfielder Kevin Paredes.

  5. I heard for the first time or perhaps just never played Squeeze’s “Labeled With Love” off of Eastside Story. What a good country song by an exceptional pop band.

I have always liked these bands when it comes to pop.

Build an ark. Or move to Arizona. 10 inches is nothing. South Austin's mom will tell ya t

River here is about 1 foot under its usual levels. It is spring fed, so that means the aquifers are suffering.

Same here for the Comal. We ain’t had shit except for a quarter inch for a couple of days. Flow that was 271 (mean) last year on this date is now 124. And that’s up from earlier this month where it hovered around a 100. We need a lot of fuckin rain to drop here and in recharge areas of aquifer.

  7. So my mom is a fan of spectrum news all day long as she contends with Alzheimer’s. I changed the channel early in the morning to tcm and it was Shelley Winters day. For some reason she and the dog were in their bedroom at 6 pm with the lights out. I was headed out the door for a game so don’t know what was going on or cared to find out.

  10. The Sinful Nuns of Saint Valentine.  Romeo and Juliette meet the Spanish Inquisition. Although considered nun-sploitation, it deftly considers the freedoms available in a regimented society. Can’t say just two thumbs were up and bravo for being made before the fake boobs era.

    Drive My Car - 2021

Hard to recommend because of the pace, but I loved this flick.  Reminiscent of some different foreign directors (Robert Bresson at times/lots of others who I have to figure out), Very beautiful and composed and I just really enjoyed it.

I finished it a few weeks ago. It was like a book that I could put down and eventually would pick back up again.

  12. Howard’s widow established that Kim and Jimmie were last to see Howard alive. After the wake, Kim withdraws from the bar. Logical reaction from the legal community would be that Kim and Howard were having an affair.  How else do cliff and schweikert view it. Kim leaving is now a liability for Fring and is now perceived as a risk. Does Mike go after her and do we see the vacuum guy?

  13. Paul’s moments of rage remind me a lot of growing up with my dad. For us our family ended in divorce, and in the long term it was good for everyone. In the short term it was a constant mind fuck of emotions. These scenes are not my favorite but there is a certain logic to it and the narrative moves on.

  14. And nice touch with the psa at the end. I wonder if they did that for the British viewing.

I like that it shows what once were funny but thin characters into complex and difficult situations and still retaining their sense of humor.

    Spoiler

The look that Ally’s stepdad gave her mom when informing on her son-in-law was hilarious.
