  1. I would counter that I've heard some pretty great stuff about Big Cedar, but def has more of a "bro-y" feel than Bandon/Sand Valley/Kohler etc.
  2. I was in a similar spot, got down to 14.2, best in my life. Slid back to 17.5 with a couple really good rounds rolling off, but feeling really good about how it's going. But same, when I was 14.2 mid-year was hoping single digits in 2026, but dropping 8 shots feels unlikely but then again, I will turn my cap over 4 times, so no reason why not!
  3. Can’t compete with 123 rounds but had 49 courses for my 72 rounds (which was actually 56 courses for 80 since my Bandon rounds were out of season)
  4. Did indeed. Would like a bit more chew to the ribs but everything tasted great. Elotes was fire, one of the best sides I have had. Well worth the stop. Also appreciated getting a two meat plate and got two huge fat slices of brisket when I chose brisket as one of the meats.
  5. Really enjoyed how it was shot, audio and visuals were cool.
  6. Going with 120 guys with the Chasing Scratch podcast. Will be wild!
  7. I got the Rover for $177 for a trip to Ireland next July which will feature lots of carrying.
  8. I’m driving to Austin from Padre on Friday and I may just need to stop here.
  9. Incredible trip to Michigan to see my kiddo (freshman at Mich State) and play some golf. Played the U of Mich course which is a McKenzie and was incredibly fun. A friend hosted me at Oakhurst which was very difficult and elite conditions. Then two days at Arcadia Bluffs, played the South and their Dozen short course on the first day then the Bluffs course day 2. Really phenomenal place. Love the South so much, doesn’t capture in pics but the strategy and design are so fun, challenging but playable. Dozen is like a playground, very fun also. Then for Bluffs we had full links conditions. Drizzly rain for the front nine, winds 20-30 gusting 40, sustained 30-35 on the lakeside holes. Absolutely breathtaking scenery and terrain. Couple spots where the course asks a whole lot out of you, even without the conditions. Can’t wait to get back!
  10. Andiamo is good, as is Barry’s. Can you do better? Sure but being where you already are at has a lot of value. Get the meatball starter at Andiamo.
  11. I still recall making a birdie at Penick with only a 5 iron!
