  1. Yeah I think much easier to get their opinion testimony in about effects of stress on a person if Guyger hasn’t testified bc then she might not testify so the way to introduce those items is through expert testimony. Instead now she’s already said exactly what she experienced and felt so why is it relevant what other people might experience and feel? It would also allow the jury to frame her testimony and understand more rather than potentially just thinking “bitch, take a look around!”
  2. Massive massive mistake not putting these guys on before Guyger by the defense.
  3. I mean if this level of preparedness and strategy allows you to be a high-paid defense attorney, sign me up yesterday.
  4. LOLOLOL at them comparing this guy's testimony to the fucking ME. GTFOH.
  5. Your Honor, we wanted this expert to testify that guns shoot bullets.
  6. My sources do indicate that Hurts is likely to miss a quarter to a half of game action during the Sooners' Oct. 5 game. More as it develops.
  7. And not a one of them pulled a weapon. And not a one of them expressed any fear for their lives. And not a one of them had the extra security blanket of a taser and a police radio.
  8. And also then I immediately murdered them because fear for my life yo.
  9. They asked if he shot them, needs to ask if he feared for his life.
  10. Again after you fucking make this mistake once, how the fuck do you not become aware and give the slightest effort???? Just inconceivable to me.
  11. Couldn't the state call her during rebuttal if she was needed to rebut subsequent testimony offered by the defense?
  12. These people in this fucking complex. I just go up to random apartments and stick my key in random locks to see if it is mine rather than taking ONE SECOND to look at number plates on the elevator, or apartment number signs, or numbers on the reserved parking spaces. Jesus fuck we are a society of imbeciles.
  13. Ah, I was going off of the other article that didn't mention it, just said "didn't face criminal charges." If they presented it to the GJ, and they failed to indict, so be it. Should still be prosecuted for reckless driving IMO at minimum.
  14. I mean, the "drunk" and "ran a stop sign" part should be included in the original narrative, but nonetheless the point remains.
  15. Yeah, if that opinion testimony about whether or not she should have been charged with a crime had come in, I would have pushing REAL hard to bring this up. Sure, you think going 40 over while driving outside of safety regulation timeframes and killing an innocent person isn't criminal either, as long as a cop did the killing, right Ranger?
  16. To me that isn't as much Ranger misconduct as complete criminal justice system fuckery. Would love to be provided a single example of someone going 40 over the limit and causing a death and NOT prosecuted. People need to do their fucking jobs or be replaced by people who will, period. Every LEO and prosecutor involved in that case should be ashamed and in the unemployment line.
  17. That is fucking absolutely outrageous if true. I'm sure he doesn't think she should be charged with a crime. How the fuck is driving 84 in a 45 in a mental state that by definition is compromised NOT at MINIMUM criminally negligent?
  18. True. There would be no testimony or evidence to counter her presumption. The email about maintenance would never come up.
  19. Yeah, expecting them to swallow, "hey even though we put 3500 hours of training into this person, when they came upon a situation they were trained for, they are incapable of making even basic rational decisions" is a hell of a lot. Was she still having tunnel vision when she was texting instead of applying life-saving measures? If that's the case, fuck, why even give them a first aid kit, they can't possibly be expected to use it if an actual stressful situation arises?
