Cy Ranch actually is a solid program. I never thought one of those CFISD schools (besides Fair) would become a consistent contender.

I assume they will take a big hit with the opening of Bridgeland High School. Definitely in the next UIL cycle once the attendance zone transition is complete (current Cy Ranch juniors can stay there but freshmen and sophomores must go to Bridgeland I think).

Ranch is a damn good program, but has had the misfortune of catching Katy about 4 times in the playoffs since they've been open.  Bridgeland is starting mostly sophomores this season so they will take some lumps. CFISD rezoned and is sending some areas to Cy Ranch that will compensate somewhat for the opening of Bridgeland. I think they learned a lesson from the opening of Cy Woods about 10 years ago, which absolutely gutted Cy Fair HS, with them going 1-18 combined in 2008 and 2009. I haven't seen any research but I'd almost be wiling to bet that Coach Pustejovsky is the only coach to go 0-10 and 15-0 at the same school!

When Bridgeland's current sophomores are seniors in the 2020 season they should definitely be pretty salty. Look for Bridgeland to be really good in baseball too...

Bubba Bolden won't play for USC in opener; Clay Helton says there's no timetable for his return

    Quote

Last week, USC had two strong safeties competing for a starting position in Bubba Boldenand Ykili Ross. At minimum, the Trojans were going to emerge from camp with depth at the position and could figure out the starter as the season wore on.

At practice on Aug. 22, Ross lost his cool, throwing a tantrum and sitting out the rest of practice. USC coach Clay Helton said he would have a talk with him. When USC released its depth chart for Nevada Las Vegas on Sunday, Ross was not included because he had decided to focus on his upcoming graduation so that he could become a graduate transfer.

so does Ross get a mulligan or are they down to the #3 safety???

My kids play some stupid fucking game called "snag."  One kid throws a ball into a group of kids.  The kid who catches it in the air then gets to be the thrower.

At least they also still play "wall ball."

BTW the correct way to play wall ball is with a racketball, 1 ball for every 10 kids playing. If you have to spread em, every ball is used.

Olin Buchanon spends the first few minutes of texags radio today telling Gabe about how he went back and forth with Texas fans on Twitter last night about aggy scheduling cupcakes, and how he "should be the better man" and leave it alone, but "Texas fans never live in realities and facts", so he had to shut them down.

Remind me again which team has played PVAMU, Nichols, Northwestern St, Lamar, and SHSU in the past 6 seasons

  5. when I was in 6th grade (before the era of athletic classes separate from normal PE), our version of dodgeball was called bombardment, and it was a class with 6-8th graders. cross court on half a basketball court with the giant net partitioning off the other half of the gym. One single volleyball was used for this game, and it was very inflated and could be thrown very hard by bigger kids.  If you got hit, point to the other team and you were out. If the ball was thrown and hit the retracted bleachers on the fly, point to the team that threw it. if you threw it and it was caught by the other team in the air, you were out.

So not only was the ball coming extremely fucking fast, there was only one ball in play so everyone was watching. The age gap from a 6th grader to 8th grader made for a MASSIVE difference in size, strength, and ability. 6th graders typically would get absolutely obliterated by older kids. several of the 8th graders had mustaches and one guy allegedly drove to school...I would pay big money to have video of these games today. My shining moment was catching (with mostly my chest)a ball hurled at me by the legendary, practically mystical 3rd time 8th grader named Alex, a stoner (jelly- anyone else use that term then?) with vascular arms, shaggy dirty blond hair  and mustache, and rode a Red Line BMX bike that everyone knew was stolen. It was the first time anyone could remember one of his throws being caught, let alone by a mere 6th grader. He was NOT pleased...

I can't imagine how many angry mamas,  news crews, and lawyers would be stampeding a school that tried that game today...the entire PE staff would be fired, if not arrested as well...fun times!

  6. Santino has been booted from Arizona now...aggy fan found some racist commentary on his HUDL account...doesn't seem like that would be accessible to the general public...very strange...

Arizona dismissed linebacker Santino Marchiol from the program Monday, coach Kevin Sumlin announced, after a video surfaced over the weekend in which he twice appeared to a former Texas A&M teammate as a monkey.

The source of the video, which was uploaded just last week, was Marchiol’s Hudl account, a Web site where film and other analytics are stored. The offensive clip was discovered by Texas A&M fans and then circulated on social media before it was deleted.

  7. I like the move by CDC because they clearly pussed out and everyone knows it. but does anyone that knows the first thing about aggy really think they will ever stop squawking, facts be damned? it's not the aggy way...they will still talk shit, even after clearly ducking us to try and run the table in the Southland Conference

Lulz.  Yeah I posted that a while back. Funny thing is though, I found it accidentally by googling “Taylor Hamm 0-16”

it was the first video result that popped up

to take it to another level, the infamous 0-fer was actually for the 2016 class so I guess that makes it another aggy turdition
