Interesting that Texas OU wasn't among these announcements. Might mean we're getting another 11am game.

Maybe, maybe not. My guess is it goes in the slot that provides the most return on their investment.

I think you could wrap it in foil.  But since it's flat, you likely would have run off.  Whether that gets in the coal basket is anyone's guess.  Plus, these aren't exactly cheap compared to a WSM (hard to get a read on capacity on the ones I've looked at).  So I'm curious as to what the advantage is.  You definitely can buy hanger attachments for the WSM if that's something you want to try.  I'm not saying it's not a good cooker, because I don't know.  But my experience with a barrel cooker versus the WSM has pushed me firmly into the WSM camp.

Interesting. I’m more curious than anything. Something like that seems like it could be a design flaw, and with so many people using barrel-styles like this, PBC, etc, you’d think it would maybe have been fixed if it’s a big issue.

Assuming if the flood gate opens that there wouldn’t be much left of the ACC. If the Big 12 has the same access and better TV deal spread across ESPN and FOX then why sit and make $10 mil less a year just to hang out with Boston College, Wake Forest, and SMU?

This is on the right track. Think about who is paying for what here.

    SEC: ESPN
    B1G: Fox
    B12: ESPN & Fox
    ACC: ESPN

    (not including mini partners)

Looking at that both from a market competition side, and a financial side, it makes perfect sense for each major broadcast partner to have a conference on their own, as well as one they split.

To me that signals potential, and seems like where it’s headed. The only thing standing in the way is the ACC, but their extension hasn’t kicked in yet, right? ESPN could be fine with the ACC imploding, with those left that care about football jumping to the b12.

Now they have their separation, enough teams, and no barriers to a new league structure. All while maintaining a significant majority of the fans.

I doubt it came with any surprise. Maybe that’s why he’s been super focused the last couple of weeks.

Guess we’ll know by the weekend.

ETA: hope he has a prenup.

  5. Part of me thought he might be within striking distance after 2. Then the weekend didn’t go so well, and Sunday was not bueno.

Jordan’s biggest hurdle seems to be the head game, and keeping it together for 4 rounds.

I feel for him. He knows what he’s capable of, but something isn’t clicking.

I don't know about you, but where I come from executives are lining up to reduce their salary and benefits for the greater good. You should too.

Hey,  it’s supposed to go: puff, puff, pass.

not the projector the actual screen on the wall.

The one I raised 9” yesterday?

I’m going to think it through for a bit. I may end up cutting the top. If so, I think I’ll just make the center topless and cut it at the inner edge of each outer box. But I’m going to think on it a while, before I do something that cannot easily be undone.

ETA: With no top in the center, I’ll have to also rethink center channel positioning as well. It’s deep enough it may obstruct the image if wall mounted. Would probably have to go bottom shelf and  slightly angle up.

I think there are going to be multiple individual cover athletes for the regular version.

As long as we get one, that still counts.

wait am I a moron, did you buy that thing and it still doesn't work?

The slider worked as advertised. But the distances are off just enough that it’s creating the issue.

I moved the screen up yesterday, and have it on top of the cabinet for now. The cabinet is as close to the wall as I can get it, but still 6”-8” away due to a floor vent and surge protector.

I could in theory shift the cabinet a bit to miss the vent, but then things won’t line up aesthetically, and will drive me (and any sane person) insane.
