  1. Easiest way would be to put it in the oven and do a self clean cycle. If you know anyone with a kiln, that would be ideal, ramp kiln up to 1000 degrees(basically what self clean oven cycle does). It will turn all contaminants to ash, rinse it and reseason. Warning, you will get some smoke and funky smells for a bit.
  2. Mountain pussy trailer is nice! Your truck is a beast
  3. I think boats, or any other recreational vehicle, is the exception this time around. There is not shit else to do really. I have pondered selling mine now and upgrade once things settle down, but not sure I want to be without right now. The lake has been insanely crowded. Weekdays are weekend crowded and weekends are like holiday crowded.
  4. 500k for biggest baddest one
  5. Here’s some wake boat porn.
  6. That’s a very nice sentiment and I agree, but did you miss the part where the snake was in the plumbing inside the house? That’s a dead snake every single time.
  7. It’s almost like you’re already in co and hit the dispensary first. Mmmm...goldfish
  8. Does the all electric fridge stay on when not connected to power/genny? That would suck if not
  9. That is very slick. I prefer two inverters in parallel too. You can always just run one if a/c is not needed(if you have the dogbone to plug into 120). This what I have
  10. Since camper was always exposed, I did cover tires when it was put up. Tires, brakes, wheel hubs. Three most important components to maintain. Do you know how to set trailer brake controller to road conditions? So many people just guess on it, but it’s super important to set it right depending on road conditions.... get trailer on flat surface going about 5 mph, let truck coast and slide lever on controller all the way to simulate a panic stop, trailer should slow truck down, just before locking up trailer tires, adjust it to number right before they lock up and then go down one more number. If roads are at all slick, notch controller waaaay down. Most dangerous situation is locking up trailer brakes on slick road and jackknife.
  11. Boats are in enclosed pole barn on my land. Never covered the rv when I had it. Was either parked in open on my property or left in rv park at the coast.
  12. That cat at 1:29 makes it look so easy
  13. Jeebus, maybe it’s just me, but I would never be able to comfortably sit on that toilet again.
  14. Wowza. One lesson to take from that is to give yourself plenty of time before dark. Maybe also have a Xanax ready to go
  15. Yea, gonna need some more details. Whatever it was, dont let it discourage you. Learning experience that you will be able to look back on and laugh about.
  16. I haven’t looked at those models. Convertible front casting deck sounds very cool. I’m more speaking to the extended swim platform on an I/o. Definitely more room to hang back ther with no outboard Edit: And chaparral is miles better quality than a Tahoe
  17. I agree with everything there, but his question was an outboard or an I/o on a bowrider. I agree with troph and am assuming he is talking about lake use. I/o all the way if fishing is a secondary/casual use and his choice is outboard or I/o. All else being equal, outboard is just going to get in the way. If he wants to fish primarily, bowrider is not the boat, I/o or outboard. He would have same experience fishing from an I/o or outboard powered bowrider, but much better experience with an I/o bowrider doing everything else on the lake. My original suggestion was an I/o bowrider and center console for fishing. I have a v-drive wake boat and center console fish boat. There is no boat that does both well.
  18. I was just assuming freshwater. If you want to get in the bay, an I/o would be monumental stupid. There is no reason a bowrider with an I/o can’t go anywhere a bowrider with an outboard can go.
  19. Giving this a second thought and it seems the fishing is a big component to your wants. A bowrider is not a serious fishing boat. You can certainly post up somewhere and drop a line or bobber fish with the kiddos, but trolling and casting to fish are kinda not what it does. Just fyi
  20. Personally, I don’t care for the aesthetics of a bowrider with an outboard. Also, one of the main hangout areas is the swim platform and the outboard kinda fucks that up. I’m certainly not dogging on outboards, they are marvels of engineering and I’ve owned several on fishing boats. The I/o will also give you a bit more maintenance hassle at end of year having to drain engine block of water. But there is nothing quite like the rumble of a v8 motor under the cowl. I wouldnt sweat the livewell on a non fishing boat. If you want it just for bait on the few times you need minnows, just use a bait bucket and toss it over the side every so often.
  21. One of those things is not like the other.
  22. Dp
  23. But honestly, based on your experience level and wants. Boat club membership first before you buy.
  24. If that’s the budget, I say two boats. 30k on gently used 21’ I/o bowrider (chaparral or cobalt if you find a good deal). 20k on used 18’ center console for fishing.
