  1. The corner tang knife is insane! The hole punchers are sweet too. Really cool pieces.
  2. They are cool cats but numbers need to be checked like everything else. I'm not worried about whitetail but in mule deer country cats can wreak havoc. An adult cat kills a deer a week on average. Thats a LOT of muleys. I have no stomach for chasing them with dogs or trapping, but I'm not gonna lie, when I have a deer or elk tag I'm glad other dudes are out there running them down. I have a small piece of property in eastern Travis County and found a lion kill (whitetail) a couple of weeks ago about 75 yards from the house. I've heard they were there historically but after at least ten years of running trail cams and hunting, I've never seen one there. Amazing how they can hide.
  3. I should have elaborated. I am very confident that we can find a way to establish the NIL baseline for the roster, with comp stepping up for contributors and for the stars. As y'all pointed out, not explicitly tied to performance, # of snaps etc. But since NIL value is highest for stars, it will not be hard to accomplish a system that rewards the players on the field over backups or youngsters. Huck mentioned player-specific deals on top of the roster NIL baseline, which works fine and no doubt there are other ways to skin the cat i.e. create proper incentives while staying compliant.
  4. The way he's looking at the longhorn logo I'd say calculator
  5. I am very confident it can all be done in compliance
  6. UT needs to offer baseline NIL to every football player, with big bumps for starts/snaps. It keeps the incentive in place, and the optics are good because the value of a player's NIL is a lot higher for actual players than benchwarmers. My hope/wishcast is that boosters realize where all this is obviously headed, recognize we got caught with our pants down last year, realize the SEC move is coming in the blink of an eye on a recruiting time scale, and put the premier NIL program in place in the country. With the richest fanbase it should be a no brainer.
  7. In this recruiting environment you don't have to overthink it. If we can continue to put together a legit NIL program that ends up meeting or exceeding anyone else, in time to matter this cycle, we will end up with a really good class regardless of bags being dropped in College Station and around the cfb landscape. If our NIL program stalls for whatever reason we are proper fucked. $ seems to be 95 percent of the equation these days.
  8. GTFO with that. Texas signs a top five-ish class almost every year, regardless of record. Yes, NIL was involved this year after 5-7 to get us to #5. But it is still pretty normal. Aggie signing the best class ever would never happen in a million years without massive bags.
  9. You have it backwards, weight gain should increase wingspan
  10. I also don't get the Jamison hate. Its tough to be a db these days and every corner in the country gets burned. Jamison is aggressive, which sometimes gets him in trouble, and I'll take that. He brings badly needed attitude to our defense.
  11. horse paste should git rid of that daria
  12. They better think twice about beating Bama again. (See Ole Miss)
  13. Why won't NIL make scholly numbers irrelevant? Instead of officially having a traditional athletic scholarship, players 85+ and those over the limit each year can just have their tuition, fees, etc paid by boosters?
  14. You have to remember that from February through July is when most people were getting vaccinated. So early in that period (say, Feb-April) the vast majority of people were unvaccinated so its not surprising that 99.5% of deaths were unvaccinated
  15. This was over near ABIA
  16. This guy is out late. On the front steps, I walked within a couple feet of him before I saw him, then my dog walked right over him. Crazy lucky she didn’t get bit. Relocated away from the house
  17. Black Canyon Anglers is good and has the advantage of having a cabin on the river where you can stay for your last night of the trip for something like $200 extra
  18. I thought the main application was to fly from one side of the earth to the other in like an hour. In other words, its not just to go to space for its own sake and to brag you've been to space, but super high speed travel.
  19. All of you wondering where the doves are (and deer for that matter) it has nothing to do with the freeze. A cold front is also not going to help. It has everything to do with the rain year we've had. It spreads the birds out and changes their pattern because there is food everywhere, whereas normally everything is brown and dead by now and they key on ag fields etc. Same with deer, on years with lots of natural groceries to eat, you'll see a lot less activity at feeders. Good for the critters, bad for the hunting.
  20. either a ♑️ or maybe a ♌️? I'm not sure, bad handwriting
