  1. Bevo XII did something even more substantial during either the 1985 or 1987 game with Cougar High in the Astrodome in Houston.  Maybe it was the infamous 1987 Bret Stafford/Shannon Kelley (aka Mr. Mary Lou Retton) 60-40 wild trackmeet (3 pick-6's, 1 by Bret and 2 by Shannon, IIRC) loss to Cougar High.

Two hours or something before the game started, my Father and I were in our end-zone seats (because that's where Cougar High put Texas' crummy allotment when most of the seats between the goal lines went unsold and the Dome had ushers that made sure the unsold seats stayed empty throughout the entirety of the game, as per usual!) and Bevo XII was being led from the big wagon gate where he walked in, all the way across the length of the field, to his area in front of the end zone where the Texas seats were for the game.  Hardly anyone was in the seats nor on the field, except for a few players on both sides who were out early to do early warm-ups.

A couple Cougar High players had finished and were jogging back to their locker room, and as they passed close to Bevo who was walking past, 1 Cougar High linebacker player, in full uniform with helmet on, decided to jump up and down, wave his arms wildly at Bevo, and shout at him as loud as he could, and then kept jogging to their locker room in the other direction.

Well, you can guess what happened-- Bevo is ENRAGED, and does a 180, pops the leads out of both his handlers hands, and starts charging down the player with no one to stop him...... The Cougar High LB starts running full speed to get away, and after Bevo runs free for about 50 yards towards this "mental giant" Cougar High LB who taunted him, one of the handlers and then both of them catch Bevo XII and do an impressive rodeo-quality tandem by-the-horns neck-wrestle takedown of Bevo at about the 25 yard line or so, and then eventually pull him back up and walk him back over to his area for the game.

Meanwhile the Cougar High LB stands there, stunned, and some people who saw the whole thing must of asked him what he did that for.  I would have loved to hear that answer, or just to have had a modern smartphone then to record the whole thing.

Was anyone else at that game to see that?

Anyway, this scene immediately brought me back to think of that day in the Dome which I think was much worse, because for a few moments, it looked like Bevo XII was going to make it and hit, plant, and trample the Cougar High LB that taunted him.

    Hook'Em!

"They" implies more than one human. Jerry can't do a damn thing unilaterally. They all had to vote on it. If somebody was streaming it for free of course it got shut down. Ain't nobody rides for free.

Nothing new there.  Pretty much the only things 'Jerruh did personally was play O-Line for Arkansas and fire Tom Landry.

There are plenty of free rides when the people working underneath them are such MORONS they can't comprehend how that derned technologah works.

uh huh. I guess you are privy to the meetings.

No dumbass, I used my BRAIN---WOAI and KLVI used to stream the Cowboys radio calls IN THE OPEN during the time that the NFL "controlled" all the radio broadcasts.

They finally found all the streams and shut them all down.

Should be on iHeart. 105.3 Dallas

    Brilliant. (/Sarcasm)

They (IHeart/TuneIn) black all out 105.3FM KRLD-FM online streams for all Cowboys games because 'Jerruh.

I was hoping for a radio station that I hadn't tried that is local to Austin, before I finish scrolling through ALL of them.

  5. Anyone know where the Brad Sham Cowboys' radio call for this game is in the Austin area since KTXX 104.9FM (normal Austin location of Cowboys' radio calls) is playing the Tom Herman radio show right now?  Seems to be SOL, can't find it on their normal alternative stations, plus nothing on their Twitter nor website about it that's easily found.

  6. Just like with West Virginia in past years, Tech has no fear of our defense, so look for them to go for it often on 4th Down just like WV has done because they know our defense is that bad. (I realize they were in no-man's land on Tech going for it on their first drive tonight, but I think they will not hesitate going on 4th for the rest of the game.)

    It's PATHETIC.

I wish we could clone Leon Fuller and bring back real defense to The University.

  7. Tech is already salivating at destroying us next week the exact same ways that silo-tech and hillbillie have.

And if that wasn't bad enough, they just handed ISU and KU their game plans also.

Do you really think Mensa-Boy and his merry men will fix it?

Nope!  His blind pride won't allow it-- he'd rather take his $15 million and ride off into the sunset just like the last "occupant" did.

I'm so glad I don't waste my money and time attending these horrible shit-show games anymore!  I'd still be waiting to drive out of a parking garage if I had....

I already said that the byes before finishing their regular season schedules with Texas didn't happen EVERY season.

However, the Tech ending their season, then Baylor ending their season, and then aggy ending their season -- all playing Texas happened for many, many years, and you didn't refute it, because it happened, and you can go look that up, too, if you want.

And in some of those years, you can replace TCU for Tech.

Your claim is that Tech took a bye, played UT, then took two more bye weeks?  Three bye weeks in each season, all in the last four weeks?

A quick check of results back to 1973 shows no season that Tech played Texas after November 4th, until A&M left the Big 12.  Every year that Tech ended the season with UT since then, the game was in Austin.  It also shows that Tech had at least two games after the Texas game in every one of those seasons.  There were five seasons that Tech had a bye the week before Texas.  Not nearly every season.  But what the hell with reality and trying to make The University of Texas a victim and a downtrodden underdog and all
