I feel like the wind has died off a bit. Still there but not gusting as much
They just said the wind picked up more on the broadcast.

Folks who know have said Sark wasn't forced to make any changes. I can buy it in this case because he really wanted to hire Muschamp on his initial staff and thought it was a done deal.
Why didn’t Muschamp join when Sark was initially hired? I keep seeing that he was Sark’s 1st choice but don’t know why it took him 5 years to get here.

Do I think Muschamp is a better DC than PK? Probably, but he wasn't our biggest problem and I didn't like Sark throwing him under the bus on his way out. It's put up or shut up time.
I still think it’s a setup for Sark’s exit next year. We hire Muschamp for DC (when clearly offense was the problem) and everyone is overjoyed. Then when Sark leaves for the NFL next year and takes his butt buddies Flood and Banks with him, we won’t be left with our dicks in our hands because we have Coach Boom to step up and be the HC. Then everyone is overjoyed once again.
Think about it, if Sark has the same staff as 2025 and then leaves after 2026 taking everyone with him, we look like fools without having someone waiting in the wings to take over the way Muschamp can possibly do now.

Muschamp must be doing Head Coach in Waiting: Part Deux to step up when Sark stiffs us for the NFL next year.

That's a scintillating lineup of games, that could almost give this fabulous bowl season a run for its money.
Each game has a potential landing spot for Sark. NFL, your matchups, woof.

2 OL is probably even more surprising.
Sark is gonna point to this and say some shit like “We had 2 all SEC lineman and yall are wanting Kyle Flood fired which is ridiculous.”

Someone is gonna hire a coach who's contract still has wet ink. Definitely.
Michigan should steal Brian Hartline from USF and we can watch Buckeye heads explode calling him a traitor.

Spoiler: most CFB position coaches are fired losers at some point or another
Yeah but I don’t want them coming to our team if they’ve just been fired. I prefer to hire someone coming up in the profession instead of a fired dude looking for a soft landing.

Can’t wait for Sark to snatch up another fired loser to fill the position.

Wingo is a multiple drop a game receiver. Moore is not. At some point you gotta understand that as a playcaller and stop putting him in those positions. I get you are trying to make sure he doesn't hit the portal for too little targets, but we are losing games betting on that dude. I'm about to put the next series up. Stay tuned.
The Wingo drops are typically balls that hit him right in the hands and he drops them. If Moore misses a catch it’s usually because the throw is too early (because Arch is about to get hit). The Wingo drops drive me crazy. I think Moore is a much better receiver but Sark designs his plays for Wingo as WR1.

Even people who are fed up with Sark have to appreciate that he isn't a public embarrassment like Chuckles or Mensa.
True. The on-camera booger eating and drunken rally speech were BEFORE Sark became the Texas HC.

Other teams do both and have for years I think we’ll manage.
This is a new rule for this upcoming year. Prior years had a spring window. Jan 2-16 is the only transfer window available now. The other teams “doing both” have a leg up because they’re in the CFP. We’re wasting time with this stupid bowl prep when Sark could be full throttle focused on recruiting these transfers.
-
The new transfer portal window is only from Jan 2-16. There is no more spring window and it’s the only time undergrads can enter the portal. We should be using our time and resources to secure the best talent in the portal instead of channeling our resources into a bowl game with no championship implications. If a transfer has to be swayed by the outcome of the Cheez-It bowl, we aren’t as solid as we think.

The difference is that
In this scenario, JMU and Tulane wouldn't have both gotten in opening another at large bid.
Tulane would have been in. They are the ranked in the highest top 4 of conference champs.

It really ought to be the top 4 ranked Conference Champs with group of 5 becoming an auto bid if in the top 12. The Boise state team from last year would be heavily favored over both of these teams.
How is this different than what it already is now? A G5 school (Tulane) was ranked as one of the top 4 conferences, that’s why JMU got the bid that was traditionally for a G5 school.

It's the two G5, not one. I rread the rules maybe a year ago, and if I'm wrong, my apologies, but I thought it only said one auto for the G5? Like the ACC and Big 12? Seems weird that they can get two and two bigger conferences only have 1? I dunno, it's all left up to chance, anyway. Don't lose three games, win the games you're supposed to, and win games that are equal to you and we wouldn't be in this mess, right? If we had taken care of business and beaten one of Florida and Georgia, this would all be moot.
The rule is “top 5 ranked conference champs get a bid” + 7 at-large
Top 5 conference rankings (auto bids)
#1 Indiana (Big Ten Champ)
#3 Georgia (SEC Champ)
#4 Texas Tech (Big 12 Champ)
#11 Tulane (American Champ)
#12 JMU (Sun Belt Champ)——cutoff
Unranked - Duke (ACC champs)

They put in two G5 teams just to spite everyone else, even though they know it's a bullshit move and will cause consternation amongst CFB fandom.
The 2 G5 teams are in because of the rule that top 5 highest ranked conference champions get an auto bid. I don’t see how this is a spiteful move when it’s actually written into the rules.
