And not being like the 9th or 10th most penalized team in the damn country. Hopefully, the new HC (Urban—still to much for me to process) can fix that. Matthew McConaughy was on Colin Cowherd and Colin asked him about why Texas isn’t back—in his answer he mentioned something about continuing what Herman started about the alignment of our goals (meaning to win Big 12/MNC). The way he said it though was like almost “the new coach” should continue with that premise. Build upon it. Colin mentioned that he was “rooting” for Herman to turn it around and MM just nodded. He knows Herman is gone. I’m sure the interview is available to see. Mostly about his book and stuff. But a pretty decent segment on UT football which was nice.

On 104.9, Trey Elling just said that he's hearing in recruiting circles that Herman has been saying some negative things about Ewers, and that stuff got back to the Ewers family and that's how all of this came about.  Also said that Herman made no effort to rectify the comments or keep him committed.  I'm officially on the "he knows his fate and he's burning the place down on his way out."

What the actual fuck? If true, CDC needs to pull that trigger NOW. TRAITOR.

well you will be waiting a while because thats not cdcs mo every coach he has hired at his tenures have been proven power 5 winners

even at tcu he hired a big name in mens basketball

Say, it's been a few days and we'll probably be stuck in a bit of a lull until Saturday evening. Hows abouts dropping a nugget, or at least another photo of UM's sideburn? Whats the mood on the team?

i have almost zero faith that herman is canned after this weekend... even with a texas loss.  what and when has texas ever showed this to be a possibility to fire a coach "so early"?

is there any actual news or reports that we might actually be looking?

May I refer you to pages 1-296 hereof, as well as the photographic evidence therein. Rumor, wild speculation, guessing, and ninjas. So in short, yes.

They loved Charlie, too. A certain type of player is drawn to the Charlie’s and Tom’s of coaching.

I think this speaks more to the character of our players than to that of the coaching staff. I would hope and expect our players would buy in and "love" and respect whoever the coach is at any given moment. The team has reportedly been doing everything the staff asks, and yet they are confused that hasn't translated to success. We owe better to these athletes. I hope we deliver.

Watching segment where Urban just discussed what's needed in an OC, and how a Head Coach really needs a full-time playcaller to win championships just adds another club to the head of Herman...

Mensa is just not head coach material -- he's just another example of the Peter Principle.

This was followed by several references to momentum and its importance to college football. This can’t be a coincidence.
