This was the fucking stupidest head coaching hiring decision of all time
-
My prediction was 70-14 in the other thread (see below), but it hasn't been inputted yet here. I had the margin of victory exactly right. Please update at your convenience.
-
This thread sucks and so does OP for starting it.
But I say it’s Gilbert followed by Swoopes.
Case is immortalized to me for beating ou and giving us eternal scoreboard over aggy.

Yeah I think we let Thompson start 2H. I feel like I’m watching a mid-2000s Texas team.

Third and ash has been money all night

70-14
Texas wins, obviously

UTEP is predictably terrible. Getting dickslapped by SFA.
-
TCU might want to reconsider.

Really what it comes down to is answering the question “am I okay with strangers occasionally dying to provide me entertainment?”
If you’re okay with answering yes, then full speed ahead. How is this any different from being a football fan in a non covid world?

Like somebody said earlier, "U Take-Em Points." Clearly, we can cover; Herman just won't. He'll lay it off on, "Well, we have to get the younger guys some PT. With this covid thing, you never know when you'll have to play 'em." Then, if pressed, he'll have more explanatory coach-speak. But the truth is, running it up's just not in his DNA.
It’s UTEP. As somebody else mentioned, if our backups aren’t running it up on them, we have a problem. Herman can be as conservative a he wants to be in second half, our players are still going to score and UTEP isn’t going to be scoring.

We're going to beat them by like 70.

All we need now is a @THUJONE COVID edition CFB season preview.

Not sure what’s going on in this thread. Is it a comment on ongoing efforts to have football during coronavirus or a Reverse jinx?
-
Is there any information on how exactly to opt out and collect our refund? Is CDC just telling us what the options will be at this point?

RJ stays on at running back, forming a high quality 3-deep with Ingram and Bijan.
Whittington is moved to WR to help fill in the voids left by the losses of CJ and Duvernay.
We beat LSU at their place and we beat OU in Dallas. We Probably drop a game (or two) that we shouldn’t, but we still play in the big12ccg (and probably win). We are in the discussion for a CFP spot, but probably fall short of actually getting one.
We End our season in the sugar bowl again, this time against Florida. We win that game; and herman expands his perfect bowl record And improves to 3-0 against the SEC in the post season at Texas.
Herman remains HC. Major hype builds for 2021.

Aggy would have been a middling big 12 team in 2012, just like they were every year as a member of this conference. A big part of the reason for Aggy success in 2012 was that the SEC was still in the offensive Stone Age, but that year finally had to play against a team every week with an explosive quarterback and high powered offense. Because Aggy wasn’t bringing a garbage offense to the conference, the sec mythos of “elite defenses” could only be masked for so long.

FIGHT! We beat Baylor. Baylor loses to Kansas. We play for Big XII title.
-
Just to breathe a little life into futureman’s prediction, 10 wins is actually still possible. If Baylor loses to Kansas, we are almost certainly in the big xii ccg (assuming we beat Baylor and tech).
It’s not as unlikely as you might think. If we beat Baylor, they could tailspin. Kansas has les miles and won’t be going to a bowl game, so ending their season with Baylor at home will be their super bowl and they’ll play with nothing to lose. We had Kansas in the same spot last year and nearly lost to them, and they are better this year. Then factor in that Baylor should have lost to tech and that tech literally did lose to Kansas. “But it’d be an epic collapse of Baylor to lose to Kansas,” you might say.... well they displayed their ability to collapse epically this weekend. The dam may have already broken.

You look at Iowa State and it’s just all about avoiding catastrophe in Ames because weird things happen there.
